“$829 taxable fees (estimated)“ raises a red flag in my opinion.
Personally, I can’t believe how quickly the affordable $20k truck went up in price and barely qualifies as an entry-level vehicle nowadays. Instead it is a profit driver for Ford.
I have thought of doing that with ours. My idea was to try and have four removable glass panels like on the Hummer EV. Afraid of the sticker shock will get when call a coach builder to price it.
I have a '22 and have never been tempted to upgrade to a newer model year. Yes, there are things I would love to have in my XLT, but for the price point I got, the truck was practically a steal.
What do I wish I had:
Keyless entry
Push button start
Adaptive cruise control
Larger screen with...
Very nice setup. Thought of doing similar when I got my Maverick. Am I correct in that rear visibility is basically non existent except for via the side mirrors?
ZERO regrets. No need for AWD here in Florida, plus my ‘22 was around $7k less than today’s MSRP, as well as having several features that are no longer available.
If anyone is looking for a new hybrid Maverick, give Moyer Ford in Foley, Alabama (located between Mobile, Ala and Pensacola, Fla.) a look. They had four custom orders show up that were turned down by those who had ordered them. Two of the XL and the one Lariat model were still available as of...
My ‘22 XLT hybrid was quoted at $24,400 just a few weeks ago, only $607 less than I paid for it new. Offer actually had risen several thousand over the last six months after dropping as low as $21k last fall.
Check the battery cables. Possible one is a little loose, which can result in loss of all electricity to the vehicle.
Plus let the dealer know since it will be in there for recall work already.
Seriously. Was scheduled to go in last week for all the recalls on my ‘22 Hybrid, but then a new recall came out the week before. Rescheduled for third week of May and now this recall will push it all back once again. The dealer I use is an hour away, however, the battery cable CSP ends in late...
Based on the timeframe and number of Mavericks affected, it is for all Mavericks manufactured during that timeframe.
And to think I was scheduled to take mine into the dealer this Monday to have all the recalls done. Oh well, waiting another month it appears.
When running a quick errand, I’ll leave the keys and phone in the Maverick and use the keypad to unlock the truck upon return. When carrying groceries with the keys in my pocket, I’ll also use the keypad to gain entry.
Quick update. While I would like a PHEV, decided that I was not spending $10k on top of trade in for a new vehicle that I would not like as much as the Maverick. Absolutely love the cyber orange truck, it’s comfort, ride, and fuel sipping mentality.
Yes, without a second thought. Sold my Gen 2 Toyota Prius to get the ‘22 Maverick XLT Hybrid. I have zero regrets, although I’d love to have the same vehicle as a PHEV (plug-in hybrid).
