  1. Anyone else seeing Mavericks “On Hold” at Railyards?

One option would be that the vehicles were being picked up by another trucking company than United. No clue yet though.
  2. Anyone else seeing Mavericks “On Hold” at Railyards?

Surprised it went north to St. Louis. My '22 and '23 both arrived at New Orleans within a week of leaving the factory, so assumed it was a pretty direct route from Mexico to Arizona to Louisiana.
  3. 2023 Maverick Emissions Recall 23E09 (Air/Fuel Enrichment Calibration) - New Vehicle Delivery Hold

Why would there be a new vehicle delivery hold issued now, when the problem was fixed far enough back that all these Mavericks would’ve long ago left the lot as sold vehicles?
  4. Anyone else seeing Mavericks “On Hold” at Railyards?

Isn’t that software update only for cars produced before May? Mine has now gone from ā€œon holdā€ to ā€œcancelled.ā€ Uncertain if the same fate has befallen the other three Mavericks sitting at the rail yard for my dealer.
  5. Anyone else seeing Mavericks “On Hold” at Railyards?

My MY23 Hybrid was built last month and arrived at the railroad in New Orleans over the weekend. Three other Maverick Hybrids were already awaiting delivery to the same dealer. This afternoon, they all were taken from Pending and moved to On Hold status in OVISS. Dealer has no clue why. Curious...
  6. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

In theory, yes, but that is a bit of an extreme measure simply so we can run a raffle.
  7. Sold my XLT to Carvana

Good for you! Carvana is still offering $4k over MSRP for my ā€˜22 XLT hybrid that has nearly 16,000 miles.
  8. Maverick August 2023 Sales & Production: 8,299 Sold / 8,482 Produced

Weird. Mine went into production and shipped last week.
  9. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

We are looking into that, but that is risky as well.
  10. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

    Sometimes, yes, but not always.
  11. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

Thanks for the input everyone. We've been in contact with legal experts for raffles in Florida and are definitely leaning toward Plan B. Any variation of a "raffle" is just a nightmare to conduct in this state. Unless that is we offer it as a prize in a bingo game!
  12. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

Nice idea, but in Florida, likely totally illegal. There are a plethora of rules that make raffles very risky to conduct in Florida. We can't require the "purchase" of tickets (making it hard to do what you suggested). We aren't allowed to set a minimum amount of tickets or cash taken in before...
  13. Gauging Interest in a Charity Raffle for New '23 XL Hybrid

I am the founder and executive director of RocketSTEM, an educational media nonprofit working to inspire the next generation of explorers. Last fall we ordered a '23 XL Hybrid in Oxford White with the 400 watt in-cab invertor, manual rear sliding window (both options not available on '24...
  14. The REAL HYBRID MPG

My '22 XLT Hybrid rated at 37 combined mpg. After 15,XXX miles, including several long highway trips, Woodstock is still topping 43 mpg. I've stated it repeatedly on here, I do not baby the truck at all. Just drive it like any other vehicle I've ever owned. The '06 Prius I owned right before the...
  15. Why Am I So Excited? ... My How the World Has Changed.

And our second Maverick has been built. The countdown to arrival begins.
  16. Why Am I So Excited? ... My How the World Has Changed.

I already have a '22 Maverick XLT hybrid built just like I wanted, yet I went ahead and ordered a plain white '23 XL Hybrid that entered production this week. Just checked and the modules have been populated. And lo and behold I am excited! Used to be we all walked into a dealer and drove away...
  17. Hello from Florida

My recommendation is to cancel the order at World Ford, or have it moved (if possible) to Moyer Ford in Foley, Ala. They sell at MSRP and have low doc fees.
  18. Gas mileage

I do nothing special and drive it like a regular vehicle, and am averaging 42 mpg over 15k miles. It will take a couple of tanks of fuel for the computer to actual properly calculate the mpg (and even then it may be off by a couple miles). I’d not worry about he mileage until you have 1500...
