Surprised it went north to St. Louis. My '22 and '23 both arrived at New Orleans within a week of leaving the factory, so assumed it was a pretty direct route from Mexico to Arizona to Louisiana.

Why would there be a new vehicle delivery hold issued now, when the problem was fixed far enough back that all these Mavericks would’ve long ago left the lot as sold vehicles?

Isn’t that software update only for cars produced before May? Mine has now gone from “on hold” to “cancelled.” Uncertain if the same fate has befallen the other three Mavericks sitting at the rail yard for my dealer.

My MY23 Hybrid was built last month and arrived at the railroad in New Orleans over the weekend. Three other Maverick Hybrids were already awaiting delivery to the same dealer. This afternoon, they all were taken from Pending and moved to On Hold status in OVISS. Dealer has no clue why. Curious...

Thanks for the input everyone. We've been in contact with legal experts for raffles in Florida and are definitely leaning toward Plan B. Any variation of a "raffle" is just a nightmare to conduct in this state. Unless that is we offer it as a prize in a bingo game! :confused:

I already have a '22 Maverick XLT hybrid built just like I wanted, yet I went ahead and ordered a plain white '23 XL Hybrid that entered production this week. Just checked and the modules have been populated. And lo and behold I am excited! Used to be we all walked into a dealer and drove away...

My recommendation is to cancel the order at World Ford, or have it moved (if possible) to Moyer Ford in Foley, Ala. They sell at MSRP and have low doc fees.

I do nothing special and drive it like a regular vehicle, and am averaging 42 mpg over 15k miles. It will take a couple of tanks of fuel for the computer to actual properly calculate the mpg (and even then it may be off by a couple miles). I’d not worry about he mileage until you have 1500...
