  1. The front end...I like it

The front end was fine. The new panels do not add balance to the front so the overall effect is that the cute little truck is hiding something. Looks like Ford designers just said, sorry, we just ran out of time. As others have pointed out, it is the mystery dash cubby all over again, except...
  2. I removed the Hybrid badge and found this

The Ecoboost doesn't have a catalytic converter and the Hybrid does?
  3. Front bumper sensors?

Before Tesla began massively cutting the prices on their cars, I bought a 2023 Model 3 with full self driving (a $19,500 CDN option at the time). Elon removed the front and rear acoustic parking sensors on that car (didn't reduce the list price though) with the idea that his enhanced camera...
  4. What went wrong with the 2025 Maverick Front!?

The extra flap seems useless, like the cubby beside the screen on my 2024 Lariat. If you look at the Ranger refresh, there is a little extra flap on each side. I guess the flap design team just like 'em. OTOH, maybe AI is taking over Ford styling and while the flaps seem like an answer, it...
  5. What Do You Wish Someone Had Told You?

The only thing I don't like about my 2024 Lariat are the adjustable headrests. It is far too easy to pull them forward but not return them back. You have to get out and reset the angle which is now too far forward. I know, it is a situation like, "don't hit your finger with that hammer" but...
  6. Buyer's remorse on FWD Hybrids?

Not really. My 2019 F150 Lariat had 4A which all the XLT owners wanted to add because it wasn't available on that model. I have a long driveway and thought it might be fun to have better traction in the snow. Didn't make much difference in reality. I really don't like the restyle (sorry)...
  7. My upgrades after two weeks

My tailgate dampener works fine. I had one in my XLT too. Hasn't come loose. Had a factory system on my 2019 F150 Lariat and while this is a better system, the deezee system is fine. My old 2008 Ranger doesn't have one and I really miss the dampener. If I could buy one for the Ranger, I would.
  8. Exploring a Maverick

I have liked the Maverick Lariat, but miss the many things my full size Lariat had once in a while. I wish the Maverick had front parking sensors since it has them on the back. My daughter wouldn't drive the big one as she was afraid she might clobber something. I have had to rethink towing a...
  9. 2025 Maverick refresh model will be held at production for quality checks, says Jim Farley

Gives time to correct the horrorific restyle. Even the 59 Edsel was better than the 58. Woof!
  10. 10K Oil Change Interval Confirmed OK via Oil Analysis at 8K miles [Hybrid Maverick]

One thing I have noticed on my 24 Hybrid is that after six months of mixed city driving, there is often a build up of a brown foamy substance on the inside of the oil fill cap. My 23 Hybrid was the same. I guess that it is a build up of moisture and I will go no further than six months between...
  11. Any way to disable the "spaceship" noise present at <25mph?

My 2012 Volt had a button on the steering wheel that you could push to provide an external sound to alert pedestrians. It was not automatic, but at least there was something there. I don't think it was mandatory on 2012 vehicles, but GM obviously thought it was a good idea.
  12. Any Hybrid owners regret not opting for AWD/Ecoboost

I have a full set of mounted snows and winters in southern Ontario are not what they used to be. I installed the snowblower on my tractor this winter and never used it. Only used a couple of jugs of antifreeze for the windshield for the whole season. Buffalo is south of me - they still get...
  13. Missing Splash Guard Above Rear Left Tire? exposed Wires?

I guess this is your first pickup. I've owned pickups for decades and open areas behind the wheels are the way ALL pickups have been built. I agree it looks a little unfinished and is a definite place for road crap to build up but Ford has been doing pickups like this for ever. You can make up...
  14. Sold Fusion hybrid for my Mav, his EV battery died the 1st week

I had a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. I traded it on a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The person who bought the Escape lives near me and the vehicle is still on its original battery. Purely anecdotal, but there is one real world example.
  15. Would you buy a Chinese BYD PHEV with a whopping 81 mpg and 1,400 mile range? [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

Every time I turn around, I find another flat tire on something I use on my property. The quality of the rubber tires seems to be the issue. They are all made in China. I wish that I could go to TSC and buy a better quality tire or tube, but no, they don't sell them. I would pay the...
  16. Any way to Stop radio from blending analog and digital radio station

HD is not very robust. It is not High Definition; HD in this case stands for hybrid digital. If you have a radio that is in a fixed place (a garage for example) you have a much better chance of receiving it than if you are moving around. As far as what the OP can do about it, you may have to...
  17. People who had a Ranger before the Maverick

I had an 83, two 90's and currently have a 2008 Ranger. I find getting into the Maverick easier - the 2008 has a high floor step over compared to the Maverick (the previous Ranger cabs did not have this issue). I don't intend to sell the 2008 yet but may do so after the new wears off. My 2008...
  18. How many of you choose to install OEM side rails

I put the Ford rails on my 23 XLT. You have to remove the factory front tie downs (I relocated them to the edge of the Leer cap I have) but the holes all line up and it is securely fastened using the threaded holes Ford provides. The XLT had a drop in bed liner - which meant I had to drill...
  19. Do you like the 2025 Maverick Refresh POLL

Don't like it, but maybe it will slow sales down enough for Ford to catch its breath. On the other hand, maybe we're looking at another Edsel.
  20. Dealer said wipers are only good for 6 months.

That sucks. BTW, how are the black surfaces on the rest of the truck fairing? Florida sun is murder! Fortunately, we had a carport at our Condo near Ruskin so I guess we had a little more protection. On a side note, when we had a M-B, things like wipers were changed at least yearly because...
