Waited 13 months for my 23 XLT hybrid and have ordered a 24 Lariat (which I would have ordered if we had been able to in Canada). I had a 2008 Escape Hybrid that was completely trouble-free from the standpoint of propulsion systems. The only issue on the XLT is that it came with a drop in bed...
You do know Henry was testing the strength of the trunk lid, which he had made from soy in an experiment on replacing steel with something he grew on his own farms.
The term "bricked" when talking about ev vehicles has become over-used. It was coined when the original Tesla roadsters came onto the ev scene. These cars would not even roll if the battery became drained. Stupid design as neutral could not be selected. Worse, draining the battery ruined...
If that were true, I would have had to raise the jack when I was installing the 18 inch Lariat wheels when removing the 17's that came on my XLT. Didn't have to adjust the height at all. If you stay with stock tire sizes, there is no difference. Real world experience.
I bought the Leer cap for my XLT. It has the higher profile and integrates nicely with the factory interior wiring. It has Ford badging on the side windows. My daughter has it but I will post pictures as soon as I get back to it. It was just over $5K CDN installed. Actually cost more than...
My 2023 XLT has the Lariat wheels for the snow tires. There is no speedometer issue - 17" vs 18". I have a Lariat on order so I will keep the snows for it. The new Lariat now has a serial number so I'm close.
I prefer the rear sensors and dual zone a/c that only the Lariat offers.
I wasn't allowed to order a Lariat Hybrid (either the dealer was dumber than dirt or it was because I was in Canada), so I went with an XLT. 13 months later when the XLT arrived, I decided to try again and was able to order a Lariat Hybrid because I really wanted the rear sensors...
Don't understand the aluminum wheels on the Ranger somehow increasing the supply of steel wheels for Maverick XL. Completely different wheel (six bolt on Ranger, five on Maverick). There is very little overlap between the full frame Ranger/Bronco and the unibody Maverick/Bronco Sport.
I picked up a set of take off Lariat rims and put Michelin snows on my XLT hybrid. I have ordered a Lariat hybrid, so they can migrate to the new Mav when the XLT gets traded in.
My XLT lux hybrid was ordered in Sept 22 and was delivered two weeks ago. So about 13 months. I was told at the time that a Lariat hybrid could not be ordered in Canada at the time. The day it was delivered, I went back and ordered the Lariat hybrid that I would have ordered last year. No...
