I'd be curious if there is any quantitative evidence to support the theory of "soft glass"? Perhaps someone has performed a simple Rockwell hardness test on different samples and shown a change? I was under the impression that standard automotive windshield glass hardness is a constant based...
I really like that the side panels swing open with the door. That's unique and eliminates the hassle of attaching the side panels everytime you put your dog in or out of the truck. Now if they could just make one to keep my dog from jumping over it into the front seat we'd be golden:oops:
I find the Maverick lighting good enough for me but it's definitely not as good as some cars with more sophisticated headlight designs. The lighting pattern is probably as good as possible using a simple fixed reflector design. My previous Mazda with adaptive LED and projector lens was better...
Yes, I feel the ecoboost brakes are touchy on my 24 Lariat ecoboost. Nothing like the hybrid brakes though. I've gotten used to it and assumed it was the typical over boosted Ford brake feel as compared to some other mfgs. Something to note is that if you check the 2024 order guide it shows...
Haven't tried it but if you do let us know what you think of any changes in ride quality, handling, and impact to mpg. My Lariat Michelins are running 35 psi and the ride is pretty taut.
I have no idea what they are talking about and I don't think they do either:confused: Your battery is less than fully charged so you either need to drive more/longer or put a battery charger on it occasionally to keep it topped off. A battery tender is inexpensive.
It could be done easy enough using a wifi camera and android auto/carplay streaming adapter box. Once it is set up you just click on the camera app to open the camera. Here is a youtube video showing how to set it up. I found this guy a bit annoying to watch so you have been warned:rolleyes:
I would call more independent transmission shops to see if anyone has experience servicing the 8F35 transmission. It's a fairly new design but has been used in the Escape and Transit for a few years now. Hopefully it can be brought back into service with a valve body service/repair. Most ford...
Switched to 92 in the EB 4K today after running out the first tank of dealer 87. I was experiencing mild lugging and could feel engine pulses during suburban driving around 30-35 mph as reported by many others. After running through about 1/2 a tank of premium I must say it is considerably...
I would check the windshield seal. To do this is simple, just run the heater fan on high to pressurize the cabin, close all doors and windows, and dab soapy water around the outside glass seal and look for bubbles.
Thanks for reporting back on this, that's very interesting that it made that much difference for you. I'm cheap too and was planning to only run 87 octane with my eco/awd 4k and live with the bit of power loss but I will probably switch to 92 now that I've run the numbers. Around me premium...
You'll need to fully recharge the battery to get all the features to begin working again. The battery management system monitors battery capacity and limits certain non essential loads until the battery is fully charged. Just jump starting does not immediately recharge the battery. You could...
Michelin makes a great tire and the Defender is a great light truck tire and I run it myself on one of my trucks but I wouldn't consider it as a sport tire so much. It's often about compromise so a true sport tire is often (but not always) going to be summer only and not wear quite as long...
When I test drove a hybrid on fairly long drive, I don't remember any odd noises at the speeds you mention. Even when the ICE kicked in it was almost imperceptible under light loads. Maybe a visit to the service dept is in order. From my experience with concerns like this it requires you to...
Does it occur during acceleration, deceleration, or steady state? Electric or gas mode? Do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel or somewhere else?
Here is wording from the 2024 operators manual regarding fuel octane. Personally I'm not an advocate of running premium if not necessary but when you can hear knocking at low RPM under load it is time to pay attention. I've had enough turbo cars to know the signs.
Your vehicle operates on...
