Hmm, my dealer just informed me that they can't make a color change once an order has been scheduled for production and has a VIN. Another instance of a dealer that isn't fully up to speed with Ford's ordering system? I just reached out to FVG, I'd love to educate my dealer on accomplishing this...
Tim Bartz said 20 percent of LM's orders will get rolled and replied to my question that he thought it would be a fair indication of the total rollover for all 22 Mavericks.. Lots of that 8 weeks will be dealer stock.
I'll be curious to see your explaination of the seemingly unexplainable, Ford's allocation system. While you are at it, care to dive into their scheduling process? I'm still on the fence to lose my place in line by taking my business to a dealership that's on their scheduling radar.
Not the dealers job to figure out what Ford can and can't do. I'd rather Ford be more transparent about some of their decisions with production and scheduling. Building out 22 models sans any luxury packages, but offering those same packages for 23 orders starting next month? Stick with my...
Obviously not anymore. Makes me hesitant to order a Lux package for 23. Bare bones Ecoboost XL might be the only truck they can build now or the foreseeable future.
Ford's supply issues are getting worse, not better. 4k very select trucks (dealer stock?) in last 5 weeks of production is definitely going out in a whimper. Can't wait for my dealer to give me the opportunity to purchase a base XL for $35K.
Add in the fact that most dealerships are clueless during "normal" times, and now we expect them to be able to navigate this mess? I haven't heard from mine in 6 months and I'm not crazy about reaching out to them (educating them?) while trying to figure out Ford's plan, to make sure I don't...
X2 on this ? Is there a "penalty" for us 22 orders for waiting any length of time past the 2nd? In my case specifically, what if I wait until the 5th or 6th?
What? I thought the terms COVP and ROVP were basically the same thing. A few days after I ordered in January I asked for proof that my order had been submitted through this extra step. I have an email from the dealer titled "Maverick- Custom Order Verification Program" with an enrollment status...
Hoping they allow 22 "rollovers" to change delearships, my local gets very few allocations and has a serious lack of customer service even with a grand of my $ in their pockets. Don't know if that will help with a heavily constrained order, might have to go base XL AWD EB if I want a Maverick...
So, my dealer has some incentive to make sure I will convert my 22 to a 23? I haven't heard a peep from them since I requested to see proof of ROVP approval a few days after ordering in January. Maybe they are just a subpar dealership or I suspect have bigger priorities than low profit margin...
