Not to mention the risk of your head being damaged when they slowly lose gas and the first cold day of the year sends the hood crashing down when you least expect it...lol
If you press L while its in N I assume its engaging the transfer case to keep the vehicle from rolling which can add enough resistance to have it jump the rollers. Otherwise idk what the point of that message is if its just gonna put itself in park
Dealers struggle with anything but the default. 99% of customers dont care so im not surprised they just forgot or didnt see to do the synthetic. Glad they're making it right though.
Guess im in the minority here at 33. Wanted something good for doing outdoors stuff and road trips. Fits that role to a T. Ive mostly had Tauruses, but a few fun cars like a Mustang GT, an Abarth and a GTI. Ill get another fun car soon, but I have to say the Maverick is crazy enjoyable to just...
We look so cool getting stuck though!
For real though, I went down a gravel road once. And the route to my school may as well be off road with how many potholes there are. Im clearly using my minor extra abilities to their fullest...
This is exactly it though, isn't it? Most vehicles can get anywhere with enough effort, the whole point of "offroad capable" is that you're more comfortable doing it and have fewer struggles. There's a wide spectrum of ability, and as someone else said, people focus way too much on comparing to...
I just changed mine at 4500 miles, only because the truck sat a lot before I bought it (and I ran over a skunk). While obviously the filter looked fine, I did notice the new part number has a tighter weave and probably does a better job filtering at the cost of some airflow.
Yeah, that's the one thing I wish I had instead of poverty sync. I suppose you can always retrofit the sync 4 from Panda or something like that, but it's wildly expensive. I have no issues using android auto on mine, but the glitch I have the most often is the song title in the cluster getting...
The software quality is definitely horrible. So many bugs. Like today I had my steering wheel infotainment controls not work until I rebooted the radio, lol. I mean I haven't had anything fundamental go down, but still.
I did the same because my truck is in a cellular dead zone where I park. I have nothing against the fordpass app, and the new update looks really nice. But I dont think its placebo, with fuse 11 pulled and the infotainment not having to constantly use extra processing power to talk to the tcu...
Its really easy to distrust dealers to be fair...
Im of the opinion though that if you have put eyes on it, you should just make the extra effort to change it anyway lol. Otherwise why even look? Visual inspection doesn't go very far with oils unless they're way overdue or something is coming...
