Be careful about making any changes now. My understanding is that if you change an order it will be repriced with the $500 price increase so it could actually cost you more to get it without the hitch.
Driving on snow is one thing but when there is that much ice it is time to stay where you are.
When there is snow also make sure that your taillights are clear.
I was pushed back to for the second time.
Originally scheduled for 3/6 on Jan 12. Then 3/20 last week, now 3/27.
Was hoping to get it by summer so it is still on track for that.
New September order for Eco/XLT/Lux/360. Maybe they are trying to make the rolled over orders first.
Not that it is right but a lot of people shop for a car based on the car payment. A $5,000 ADM results in about an additional $100 car payment for a five year car loan.
No one, including Ford, knows.
That said there is a possibility that Ford will start making the 2024 model year in July when they add the third shift to have them on dealer lots by September. That would be getting back to a more normal production schedule.
I didn't follow all your numbers but $39K is a lot to pay for a Maverick even though it is loaded.
There are a lot of alternatives at that price point especially if you do not really need the truck bed. For some people an SUV with a box trailer would do most of what they need to do...
I emailed my sales person a question and he called me back when it was a good time for him. That make sense so that I was not taking up his time when he was working on a sale with another customer.
You do not know what hours or days your sales person will be working so just dropping by...
There was another thread about that dealership last year with a similar situation. It sounded like they were able to get some help from Ford.

People need to keep in mind that they did not start making 2023 Mavericks until the last week of November. If you ordered one in September then there has only really been about two months of production so far that your 23 could have been built.
You got my place! :)
I have a new September order that was scheduled for March 6th and I got bumped to March 20th. That was not unexpected and I will not be surprised if it changes several more times.
I am optimistic about getting it before summer though.
I don't think even Ford knows.
I would not be surprised if there is mid year price increase. That way if they start sending the ecoboosts to dealers lots it could be at a higher MRSP. A midyear price increase could also prevent there from being a big price increase when they announce the...
One thing in your and the original posters favor is that a Lariat Lux is a high trim level with more margin for Ford so you are likely to be scheduled before a lower margin order.
I orderd an XLT to actually get a Maverick.
I had a preorder set up for an XL Hybrid when the order books were going to open in August, but they pushed it back to September. By then more information was available including that only 15% of them would be XLs. As far as I can tell that...
The scheduling people are keeping busy.
My Ecoboost/XLT/LUX/360 was scheduled last Thursday(1/12) for the week of March 6.
This evening (Tuesday 1/17) I got an email that is has already been rescheduled for the week of March 20th.
I got the email at about 8:30 PM eastern time so somebody...
I also have a 2021 Subaru Forester and about a month ago the automatic braking was triggered when a deer ran across the road in front of me. I saw it and I would have likely been able avoided hitting it but it was nice to have that backup.
With the right roof rack you could likely haul a...

Talked to my salesperson and he said that mine was the first of their September orders to be scheduled.
I did not order it with a spray in bedliner or have it added...
If that is 30+ years ago then something to keep in mind is that pickups have gradually gotten huge. Compared to whatever you might have driven in the 1990s the small size of the Maverick might not be as dramatic as it is compared to the typical 2023 pickup truck.
It would not work for every...
A downside to having an unneeded trailer hitch is that if you are ever rear ended then the trailer hitch will transfer more into the unibody "frame" and make it more likely to total your Maverick.
People have posted photos of their Mavericks that were totaled after they were rear-ended and they...
