Sorry I tried searching for this but I could not find an answer
If anyone has gotten an XLT recently then what keys did you get with it?
I am picking mine up tomorrow and the only options it has are the Lux Package and CP360 if that makes a difference. I do not have the remote start option...
I have been looking into getting an extended warranty too and it appears that you can use your Ford Pass points for the extended Warranty. That would save me about $200 with the points I get from buying a Maverick.
Some random points;
1) With the higher trim levels and options the average selling price of a Maverick is likely close to, if not over, $30K now. Ford would make plenty of money selling Mavericks if they were not having to pay so much for recalls and warranty work.
2) The Maverick is a new...
I have only seen three ever in Atlanta.
I am pretty sure that having space on a train and the cost of shipping is a major factor in selecting which Mavericks get built.
Any Maverick going to SoCal would need to go through Arizona so Ford can likely save at least a few hundred dollars by...
The big problem is that with the Ford allocation system it is impossible to even roughly know what allocation a dealer will get and even the dealerships did not have any idea of what allocation they would get back in September.
None of the dealerships that I have been dealing with have been...
One thing that has not been mentioned is that I assumed that any planned flipping that is being done may be done by people that work at a dealership or have some other connection with a dealership like being a relative of the owner. That could help them actually get a Maverick to flip.
Some...
I suspect that part of the problem is that the Southeast has not gotten many Mavericks. I am in Atlanta and I have only see three Mavericks on the road.
Maybe the rail connections to the Southeast are the problem.
I have a Maverick that is on the way to me and it went from Mexico up to...
Don't be surprised if the MSRP of a hybrid is significantly higher than an Ecoboost when the 2024 prices are announced.
If you do order a 2024 then one thing you should have learned from this mess is to place multiple orders with multiple dealers with no deposit or a modest refundable...
Don’t leave a tape measure on bumper…
That reminds me of a photo I saw somewhere. Somebody had welded a large plumbers wrench to the top of their pickup tailgate/sidewall like they had forgotten and left it there.
It was where any car behind you could see it.
Ever since they welded the...
My Maverick has been shipped so I sent an email with some questions to my salesman a bit over a week ago. I did not get a response but it is spring break here so I was not too concerned since there was nothing urgent since it is not expected to arrive until May.
After about a week I called...
I would assume that the transmission is being fixed under warranty. Is that correct?
For all the hassles it has been at least you should be able to get most of your money back when you sell it, if you don't even make a few bucks on it.
Between not getting hurt in the incident and not buying...
I would not even touch it unless something is broken
If it even lasts 15 years by then everytime you touch something three other things will likely break.
Even if Ford thought it would be a big hit and there were no supply constraints they would be cautious about spending a billion dollars(or whatever it might actually cost) to set up a factory to make 500k or a million new trucks a year for a new model. Even commiting to building 100k a year...
Part of it may be a generational change. Before the internet and cell phones it was pretty common to chat with a random stranger about their car, is it going to rain, where to eat, directions, etc. Now if someone was interested in your Maverick they will likely just Google it.
It could be more like a five year old Ford Focus.
Part of the stragety for the low price of the Maverick was that they wanted to have an option for people that would have previously bought a Ford car. Once Ford stopped making cars, except for the Mustang, they wanted a way to keep those loyal...
When the 2024 pricing comes out I will not be surprised if the hybrid costs significantly more than the Ecoboost.
It will also be interesting to see what happens if the Ecoboost supply gets to the point where they are available on dealers lots. At that point charging a large additional...
One big problem is that it would almost certainly void the warranty on your car.
Another is that most likely when you park the car your battery will likely be almost fully charged anyway so you could not gain much. It isn't like you are dealing with an electric car or a plug in hybrid...
People are sort of hard wired to try to see patterns even when there is no real pattern. That is why people can see shapes in clouds. It would be a mistake to assume that the scheduling and allocation process is something that follows a predictable grand plan.
No one really knows just...
