  1. 📬 12/8/22 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

At this point Ford will make as many as they possibly can and if nothing else they can make some random configuration with the parts they happen to have that day to send to a dealers lot.
  2. Exactly what determines dealer allocations?

The thing I have never understood about that logic is that seems to be circular logic where; 1) Cars are in short supply so you could not sell a lot. 2) You did not sell a lot so we will reduce your allocation. 3) You get a lower allocation so you sell even less. Go to step 2. Maybe this is...
  3. Remaining Unscheduled MY2023 Maverick Orders = 77,800. List of Current Constraints

One downside of having a hitch is that it is directedly connected to the body of the truck so that if you are rear ended all the force goes directly into it which can cause a lot of damage. There have been several posts where people posted pictures of their totaled trucks which had been rear...
  4. Remaining Unscheduled MY2023 Maverick Orders = 77,800. List of Current Constraints

From what he said it sounds really good. Earlier in the thread Comadorbob pointed out that the trailer hitch constraint is not as bad as it sounds because it includes a lot of hybrids that will not be built. I have an Ecoboost/XLT/Lux package/Copilot 360 ordered and I am optimistic that it...
  5. Remaining Unscheduled MY2023 Maverick Orders = 77,800. List of Current Constraints

Not that it really makes any difference but I think he said that was 30% capacity and 25% of orders unless he gave different numbers somewhere else in his video. Was was taking notes on the things that impacted me and I double checked and it is at about 57:40 in the video. Thanks for...
  6. Remaining Unscheduled MY2023 Maverick Orders = 77,800. List of Current Constraints

They also seem to have lots of extra capacity to make Tremors which would have lots of margin for Ford. Getting a significant number of Mavericks to the dealers would really help end the price gouging and Ford has been getting a lot of flack about that. With inflation there will also likely...
  7. Remaining Unscheduled MY2023 Maverick Orders = 77,800. List of Current Constraints

One complication is that there has been speculation that 2023 could be a short production year. They could start making 2024 Mavericks by the middle of the summer to get on a more normal schedule where the new model year starts being sold around September.
  8. $500 Farm BUREAU is a waste of time for many people.

Sorry, I'm lost with all this. I ordered a 23 Maverick in September with no special plan pricing or rebates. I will not be financing so I don't care about the interest rates. I have not had the build scheduled yet so I would assume that it will be many months into 2023 before I get my...
  9. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Post if you received your 2023 Maverick scheduled for production confirmation & VIN today Oct 28!

Not really. Ford makes more on higher trim level trucks so it makes sense that they will try to build them first.
  10. Would extra weight in the bed help with snow traction?

If you do add weight in the truck bed be sure to secure it well. If you put something like unsecured cinderblocks in the truck bed and you are in an accident they can basically become cannon balls that are aimed at the back of your head. When that happens the majority of the cars you see in...
  11. Some dealers just don't want the Maverick

Does your truck have any outstanding recalls? I am not 100% sure but if the truck has any outstanding recalls they may not be able to resell it until the recall is done which can take a long time. Even if they can legally sell a car with an outstanding recall they may not want to because of...
  12. ⏰ 2023 Maverick Scheduling Next Week (10/24) For Production Build Weeks 11/21, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12

I hope so. I never heard the actual numbers but of the 86,000 orders for Mavericks in when the order book was open in September maybe 20,000 of them may have been for ecoboosts. If they can make 2,000 Ecoboost Mavericks a week then in the four weeks they are scheduling they could make...
  13. ⏰ 2023 Maverick Scheduling Next Week (10/24) For Production Build Weeks 11/21, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12

I know the plan is in Mexico but it is interesting that they are scheduling for the week of 11/21/22. That is Thanksgiving week and at one point I thought I heard that they would be shut down Thanksgiving week.
  14. Still can’t decide ecoboost vs hybrid

With that much idling getting an extended warranty would likely make sense. Also be sure to do your oil changes and other maintenance a lot sooner than recommended based on mileage. I have heard that with the Ecoboost with the turbo it is best to do oil changes sooner than later even with...
  15. Hold or Sell

In my state you get a break on the sales tax if on your trade in which could make trading it in more favorable if the dealer does not lowball your trade in offer. It would be good to also run the numbers on that.
  16. Any locking fuel filler plug options for the EcoBoost?

Just FYI, the old "sugar in the gas tank" story is mostly a myth since sugar does not dissolve in gasoline. While not good for an engine the worst that might happen is more likely a clogged fuel filter. Google is your friend.
  17. Paint total crap on the Maverick

It might be wishful thinking but maybe the switch from velocity blue to the atlas blue I have ordered could be because it is better(or at least less bad) paint. One thing we have going for us is that we will likely only be washing the truck a few times a year so the dirt will likely hide any...
  18. ⏰ No Maverick Scheduling Next Week (10/10)

I have do doubt that Ford has production models already set up that run through the end of the model year. That is how they can see what supply problems they might be facing 3+ months from now. Those models of course will change on a daily basis as orders get changed and supply schedules...
  19. Received my Maverick with 40 miles on it and found sticker: "selected at random for road testing following assembly"

... I received my truck with 40 miles already on it .... It is unlikely to make a difference but I am pretty sure that would mean that your 36,000 warranty goes to 36,040 miles.
  20. Unfortunate news from dealer for 2023 Hybrid Lariat

Unless I am mistaken one complication is that for the Lariat this year the front wheel drive is only available as a hybrid, at least according to the order guide. To change it to the Ecoboost you would also need ot get it changed to all wheel drive.
