Doesn't sound normal.... not acceptable! Likely not a big problem... but something is rattling against something else and should be secured or dampened.
There are likely a bunch of criteria that go into the order pull for production. Parts constraints, destination, worker availability (covid impacts)... maybe even profit on the build. I would think they want to optimize what they are building and delivering. At least that is what I would do...
Interesting... Just got a call from my dealer with my VIN assigned and said it will be scheduled for 3/14 production. Maybe they get the order pull list earlier than the emails go out.
Confirmed via my dealer. After we wrote up the sales purchase agreement, he contacted me confirmed (verbally) that it was accepted by Ford Canada. The next step was to have a VIN assigned once it was scheduled into production.... which has not yet happened. 🤨
Yeah... they are awful keeping us in the loop. It would be nice to even get a monthly "You are not scheduled yet, but will be soon". Interestingly enough my sales dude said I had an ETA of Feb '22 when I ordered it. He had to be guessing wildly at that point, because production scheduling or...
I wondering if we can get a source of that info? I have a hybrid order from June!
* edit: the only bonus is that I won't have to get winter tires until this fall! lol!
My purchase agreement was June 24th, confirmed in with Ford Canada on July 4th. My understanding is that in Canada you don't get any communication direct from Ford, and have to check with your dealer as to status. My order was a pretty basic XL, the holdup has been the spray in liner, a...
I'll answer with what I know.
1. Wait times... I ordered in June/early July, plain jane XL with a few options. At the time the dealer said Feb and I thought he was a bit off lol!. Still have not got a production date. As far as I know the 2022 order book is closed, so you will have to snag one...
No, at least not in Ontario. It was separated out on the purchase agreement, priced exactly as it was on the Build and Price on the Ford Canada website. MSRP for my config +$1,995 Freight Fee +$100 A/C tax
Legatt Ford Burlington. They tried to add on a roadside assist/tire protection pkg, but I took that off. Still have to go thru the financing gauntlet (the whole "undercoating"/ extended warranty pitch). I ordered in July, at that time there was not a lot of buzz about supply chains and inventory...
In the same boat. My order was placed late June, confirmed accepted 1st week of July. I email my dealer about once a month for a status update. Part of my problem is that its a Ford Canada order, so I'm not getting emails or tracking. I was hoping for some good news in this last scheduling blitz...
It is! Especially when priced in Loonies. But I got one too since it offers all the things I wanted; Secure/lockable, doesn't block the back window & a rail system to add a kayak rack. I expect to keep the Mav for a long time so it seems like its worth the addon price.
My order went in early July as well.
Crossed fingers that this will be the week it gets scheduled.... They are pulling 5 weeks of orders for production on Thursday.🤙
