I did not replace them. At the time I was ordering my speakers the replacements for the dash were on backorder. 😬 Now that I have the door and pillar speakers in, I seriously don't think I'll bother replacing the dash speakers. Honestly, I have plenty of treble now. I agree with the stock...
Curious why your using an LC2i if your amp has high level inputs? I haven't noticed any bass roll off from the factory stereo (At least from testing up until volume level 22 which is hella loud) but maybe I'm wrong or just not noticing it. 🤔 Haven't tested at louder volumes then 22 because...
Very easy to access. Use plastic trim removal tools to pop off the vent housing assembly underneath the head unit. Two clips on the left, two on the right, the bottom one pops on its own. You will see a wiring adapter near the lower right. The wires your looking for are listed below. I used...
Just to add to this. Just did a quick google search and it seems some Bronco owners have experienced the same thing and both vehicles use the Sync 4 system. May be related to Apple car play and Android auto. Maybe because it's wireless now or something. 🤔
Some say switching from Android/Apple...
That's what it seems like to me. 2025 is still pretty new so we may see some more people with this issue in the near future. I'm just going to monitor things and take better notes on when it happens such as volume level, length of listening, etc.
This exact same thing has happened twice now on my setup as well. Replaced factory speakers with Kicker 46CSC674 in the doors and Kicker 46CSC44 in the rear pillars all running off the stock head unit with no other amp to them. Also added a 10" subwoofer running off an Alpine MRV-M500. Twice in...
I did consider that. For the price of them, it just didn't make sense to me. I figured I could get a better sounding and more powerful setup doing it this way vs one of those all in one hideaway subs. My sub and amp was around $100 cheaper then what a Kicker 46HS10 costs while producing more and...
Thanks! Definitely not my first audio rodeo. My first in a couple decades but I installed quite a few systems for myself and friends back in my late teens and early 20s.
I haven't personally heard the B&O system other then on YouTube. I probably would have been fine with it aswell judging from...
I'm using the same tonneau cover and haven't had this issue after a month of use. Make sure it's up close to the window, square, and clamped down properly.
No problem. You can certainly take that approach. The bottom parts might be difficult to bend straight the way they are reinforced. May need to cut them a bit in order for them to bend flat. The top tabs would be super easy to bend flat.
It's because the bracket is not simply a flat plate. It has two tabs that stick out at the top and the bottom pieces are bent out on an angle.
If you look at the pic below, you can see what I mean at the parts circled in red. They are raised vs the parts I point to in green. Now, you probably...
I used a 1/4" piece of plywood cut to size that I carpeted. I used carboard for a template to mark up where I needed to drill the holes. I tapped 4 M6 threads into the factory amp mount bracket to receive the bolts. The bolts need to be fairly long due to the design of the amp mount bracket. Not...
