Just found the thread for the Harbor Freight universal rack:

that about what I'm looking for, now I need to see if J-hook style kayak holders clamp to them.
Anyone successfully install a simple and inexpensive kayak rack for the Mav? The shorty bed isn't ideal for a set of 10' kayaks, otherwise I guess I need a utility trailer. I'm just not feeling the value with a $1400 name rant set of aluminum tubes!
Worked in furniture for 20 years, and there isn't a car I haven't strapped a mattress to. I once tied a king sized mattress to a Fiero - the Maverick is definitely up to the task (would be just fine if you stack the box springs and leave the tailgate down).
I absolutely love my XL 2.0 AWD - probably the best truck I've owned. I would likely feel the same had I gone with the XL Hybrid, but I'd question myself if I had gone up and over with the XLT lux and so-on; I feel the Mav is best appreciated when viewed as an inexpensive lite duty pickup.
Interesting, glad to see the GOAT made it in (I mean they kinda had to, hard to Tremor-ize with just stickers and trim). Iām looking to 2024 to trade in my XL so Iāll definitely be looking at this!
Look, I already am pulling myself away from just slapping a Honda Navi on my credit card so I can learn to ride - this isnāt helping knowing it would look sick riding in the back of my Mav
I deliberately built mine to avoid technology - no hybrid, no 360, just basic.
That being said, I think the hybrid issues are overblown and really are just being exacerbated by forum talk and delay anxiety.
Personally Iād lean on this being far more āTimberlineā than āTremorā. Unless they can give it the beefier Bronco Spprt top-end AWD package and a slight lift, I really donāt see it as having anything more than an appearance package. There has to be some kind of performance upgrade for it to be a...
Before I ordered I liked Cactus and Area 51 - then I saw them in person and I just canāt get into the āflatā colors. I Just wish there were more metallics or a greener green.
Iām very happy with iconic silver, I didnāt want black, and Iām tired of white trucks.
I live on I-5 in Northern California (like actually north of Sacramento northern), and it can get pretty rural. There are 8 Tesla chargers at the Starbucks, but out-of-towners are constantly on them, especially on weekends or holiday travel days. At home charging is the only real option. My...
I could be talked into a Maverick EV for under $30k - home charging would be plenty for me. There are 8 Tesla charging points by the Starbucks locally - would have to fight the constant line of out of town city folk lined up for them.
I initially was exposed to the dial shifter in an office vehicle, a 2018 Fusion. Honestly did a triple take because I couldnāt wrap my head around not having a stick to shift with.
Now I appreciate that it is unobtrusive and simple, still my autopilot from years of sticks creeps in on occasion...
Based on how satisfied I am with my Maverick, I don't think Subaru is capable of improving upon the Maverick to the point I would purchase one. I got everything I wanted in a pickup for $25k, and I know Subaru can't meet that target; price, packaging, aesthetics, performance, etc.
I would look a a PHEV or a hybrid AWD but putting them both together sounds expensive and heavy....
As JTPC2021 said, could be the V758 platform, as more than likely it will be FWD/hybrid/OHEV focused.... it would be amusing for Ford to use a Maverick mule for Transit Connect testing when they...
