Geez, my local dealership has a bunch of 2023 XLT hybrids for less than $27k - who is seriously paying these exorbitant prices?!
...granted to people around here buy full-sized trucks, so our demand may not be like the city, but still!
I added two sets of 'V-hooks" onto the mid rack and carried my two, 10' kayaks easily. Loaded some folding chairs and tubs of gear and was on the road.

I did...
I was shopping for a new truck, saw the Maverick online and liked it - ended up seeing one in person one morning after it was dropped off at the local dealer and a simple walk around told me it was just what I needed.
I just put the Thule setup on my XL a few weeks ago - I love it! I did want the side accessory bars, but I was not sure if the spacing so I skipped them for now - glad to see you made them work! The cross bars are too wide, and I’ve knocked my head on them more than once - I do plan on...
My office got a then-new Fusion with the dial: the first time I got in to drive I was dumbfounded on what to do... literally took me 10 seconds of staring at the thing to wrap my brain around not having a shifter. I'm used to it now and it has its positives, it's grown on me.
I too grew up on...
Also I grabbed some “universal v-hooks” which will work great for kayaks as it should raise them up a few inches over the cab - but looks like it wasn’t quite universal enough so I’ll just go find some longer bolts for it tomorrow.
So I ordered the Thule xsporter mid from Sportsmans Warehouse, because I had 10% off, price was $799 and I also had $50+ in points to burn.
Installed it tonight, went together easy, even though there was no instruction supplied (or at least not that I saw); YouTube is my skill set. Assemble...
Feel for you OP, I hope hey do the overvalued route for you!
last week on the way home from work, I seriously thought I was going to be in a chain reaction wreck, but thankfully everyone managed to stop without getting hit in he back.
I'm more interested in the potential for a single cab EV from Nissan or Chevy at this point. I love me some Taco, but more elaborate, expensive and opulent is the wrong direction For my needs - besides, they're still huge! I'd wager they drop the jumper seats and go full crew cab across the line.
So I ordered the Thule pro mid rack last night (yay!) but wondered what the distance between the vertical posts are as I had initially wanted to add at least one side with accessory rails. There is a short rail at 36.5” long and wondered how that might work.
I know theres at least one running Rabbit truck in town, and if the owner puts a 'for sale' sign on it I'd be tempted!
my first truck was an 82 Toyota long bed diesel, which I think had 67 HP and could only do 65 with a tailwind - but I could load it up with furniture and junk and it'd haul it...
I still think the Mav is chunky all around, and it feels much wider than my S-10. Great visual next to the true baby trucks :D
I used to think my old Metro hatchback was tiny… until I parked it next to a Smart car!
same exactly!
if the new Frontier had offered some fuel efficient 4 cylinder for $35k, I probably could have been suckered into that too, but the Maverick just checked all the boxes for me and it was $25k!
Planning a trip to Tahoe this spring and don't really want to pull a utility trailer all the way up the mountain in order to bring our kayaks - this is exactly what I'm looking for!
