There's a seal between the outer lens and the housing. And if there's an external driver, a seal between the driver and housing. And a seal around the aim adjustment screw. And the power connector. But the lamp isn't fully sealed.. because of the vent. The vents are hydrophobic and...
Without deep pockets for legal counsel, you have virtually no defense.
The upside is that you also have virtually no tooling costs. If you would dedicate the time to make the product for yourself anyway, then your risk is as low as it gets.
If I were in your situation, I would not post...
Fundamentally, more power = more stress on components
Logically, any performance-focused tune would increase the probability of failures by some unknown amount. But it's been on the market for 2 or 3 years now. If it was causing drastically premature catastrophic failures, we probably would...
I used to design/engineer headlights. I can't see anything meaningful from your video, but it is difficult to get a good image of a lens.
Headlights are not 100% sealed. They need venting to normalize pressure changes due to temperature and elevation, and to evacuate water vapor. Minor...
You have lane centering turned off, and lane keep assist turned on.
Lane Centering is two colors: green or white
Lane Keep Assist has the yellow and red warnings while it ping-pongs you across the lane with wildly inaccurate corrections
"DOT approval" doesn't exist for aftermarket parts in the US. Manufacturers self-certify that they are compliant with FMVSS-108 and the applicable SAE standards, but I don't believe anyone ever verifies the claim.
When I worked as an engineer in aftermarket lighting, I never saw a tail light...
They'll probably be fine. But it's not hard to find the same thing for even less. Many of these Amazon sellers are probably sourcing from the same manufacturer.
I frequently have passengers. They always complement the "leather", and they're too polite to tell me how hard and upright the seat is.
I'll tolerate the back seat for a 20 minute ride, but it really is terrible.
Revised axles weren't available until November 2024. You weren't given obsolete parts, but it is an unfortunate situation.
The MY22 CSP included reimbursement of out-of-pocket repair. So, you should get the money back if they ever expand the program to 2023 and 2024.
No, there is not a discrete 12V lead for high beam. It is controlled by LIN communication. When the high beam is requested, the headlamp draws power from a wire that is always on (even when the high beams aren't).
You would need a LIN decoder to get a meaningful discrete high beam signal. I...
Perhaps there is a standard for specific applications, but they are offered in a wide variety of heights per the Unistrut catalog.
I think it's more likely that Ford's media team simply neglected to include the full component definition supplied by the engineers. That's happened with...
That looks correct.
They specify the endcaps are for (Eaton) B-series channel, which is 1-5/8" wide. Their square profile would suggest a 1-5/8 height as well. Eaton B-series and Unistrut P1000T appear to be interchangeable.

I loved the Tremor seen earlier this year, but I'm beginning to think this one looks too.. BNSF for my taste. I prefer...
I fully agree. Particularly the Lariats and Tremors look great in person, but I'm still satisfied with my 2022 for the money.
But I also think the Maverick's styling is still 4 years behind the rest of the industry. My 2022 looks like a 2018 model at best. Thankfully, the 2025 model looks like...
If you power anything from the trailer connector, then the truck thinks a trailer is connected.
It will disable blind spot monitoring and backup sensors.
If the lights power draw is very low, as they should be for side markers, then you could tap the front side marker or rear parking lights...
Any cheap OBDII scanner can tell you which diagnostic code it's throwing.
In extremely cold temperatures, simple errors like a MAP sensor reading out of normal range are somewhat common.
But there's literally no way to know unless you, or a qualified mechanic, do the bare minimum to...
