    Safelite finally got the windshield and replaced it about 2 weeks later than originally scheduled. It is an OEM windshield with the Ford logo on it. In the meantime I never got a ticket or had any issues at all.

    UPDATE - the front windshield has been replaced with Ford OEM glass. I didn't get cited and no one was injured while driving it while it was cracked.

    UPDATE - I contacted the dealer. They told me chipped windshield glass is not covered under warranty as it was a road issue and not one caused by faulty parts or manufacturing process. However, Safelite called and has the part in. So the windshield is set to be replaced on Tuesday.

    I just drove out of Bardstown KY when the storm hit them last week. I drove about 100 miles on the highway. I had no issues stopping, starting or moving. The wipers did start to accumulate ice on them, but I saw lots of cars pull over to clean their wipers off. It was coming down pretty hard.

    What I have found is that the ECO mode works best on long sustained drives. In town I get better mileage in regular mode, and even better mileage in sport mode when I am in heavy stop/start traffic. But that's just me and the way I drive. Opinions may vary.
