I didn't take the time to read through all the other responses in the thread, so excuse me if I'm just parroting what everyone else is saying. I think the Mav makes the most sense at it's cheapest. At $40K I'd be looking at midsize trucks.
Sweet Mav Doug. I've always been a "do more with less" kind of guy, so I get a lot of enjoyment out of doing all the same stuff as my buddies with a truck that's half the size.
I've had my '25 XL in a few muddy fields and what I've observed is that the ride height is a big limiting factor. If you're driving through soggy, but mostly flat terrain you're fine but if it's boggy and you sink down you're basically done. Same goes for any terrain that causes wheel lift. That...
From the home screen go to more > X-Guage > Auto Scan
From there you can select your make and then let it scan for PIDs. Afterwards it will give you a list that you can select from which can then be added on the guage screen. I see an option for PTU temp but nothing for RDU temp. You might be...
It can be quite difficult to convey tone through a text post, but for your sake Meeka I'll clarify that I was simply making a joke for laughs. I did not disagree with anything Chops said nor do I have anything to prove.
I think that's one of the guide pins for installing the windshield. Helps ensure the windshield is in the correct location while the adhesive sets. I could be wrong though, not a windshield replacement expert.
In these situations I like to act really confused and try to get them to explain what they mean. Usually shuts them up when they can't really explain why it matters so much.
Thank you for taking the time to write up this post and present these rules to us Chops.
THREE and FIVE... Chops just came in here to brag about all that money he has. 91 Octane and full synthetic oil change every 3000 miles... My man has DEEP pockets.
I have noticed this as well. It also seems to drive oddly when it's still at high idle. My solution is to just remote start it a few mins before I walk out when I can so it's already settled down before I take off.
Well said about this being the only vehicle in this class. This was the primary driver behind my purchase. Even the EB with it's ~30-35MPG is excellent for a truck with a usable bed. Not to mention the MSRP is easily 5-10K lower than other more traditional truck offerings on the market. I am a...
just rolled 6K miles, with no issues on my '25 XL. I did get the deep sleep notification on my phone at one point, but I hadn't started the truck all week so I believe that is normal behavior. After driving it the message has not re-appeared and the connected services are working normally.
Listed dry weight of my particular pop-up is 1450Lbs. but the previous owner removed the slid-out beds at each end so it's probably closer to 1250 or 1300 which gives plenty of headroom with the 2K tow limit. Mine is *quite* old so I'm sure you can get newer ones that are even lighter if needed.
Love it for the drive-thru. Also pretty nice when used in combo with auto start/stop. Come to a full stop and then let foot off brake, engine stops and truck sits still. Press accelerator, truck starts up and goes.
It's like the perfect truck for that specific application. :ROFLMAO:
I do wish I could have gotten the hybrid for the even better fuel economy, but I'm still really pleased with what I got. Although I did hear that Toyota has a Maverick competitor in the works and I'm a bit of Toyota fanboy. 👀
