I've always been more of a lifted truck big tires kind of person, but I might consider the lowered look with the Maverick. Especially since everyone says the AWD Maverick handles awesome.
Only thing I'd worry about is the exhaust. It already seems to hang so low. How close is it once lowered?
So big reason I'm considering the Lariat Lux is the collection of driving technology (ACC, Lane Centering) and how much it would improve my commute during the week.
Now I understand Lane Centering detects the lines and uses those to put you in the center, but how does it determine the line...
If I remember right the 8f35 is rated for something like 260 lb-ft.
Now as far as I know no one has found anything that says Ford beefed up the 8f35 with the Maverick, but you'd hope so since the 2.0 output is higher than the rating, and is also rated to tow 4k pounds in some applications.
I recently watched a video discussing how new engines are more prone to use oil and why the manufacturers say it's ok.
They use low tension rings to help reduce friction. This leads to them not "scraping" the cylinder walls as clean as they used to.
This could be complete crap but in their...
Looks like I don't have much of a choice. Wife is pushing really hard for a popup camper to use between now and our goal of a full size truck and 5th wheel.
Now to decide if I want FX4 or a sunroof!
I know it comes with all that extra. Some may be redundant with the 4k, some I may not care about at all.
I was just curious because it seemed despite coming with all that, people were avoiding ordering it because they lost Sport and Eco, which can now be added back.
Was FX4 ever a constraint?
I did some searching but everything seemed to be pre early 2022 when people said FX4 wasn't worth it because they lost Sport and Eco.
Can't really seem to find any posts after it was figured out in Forscan how to unlock every mode.
So on the XLT 4k is FX4 now worth it? I'm mainly looking at...
Which is fine. Offer it as part of a package such as STX. I have no problem with them making money off the option, but make it an option!
STX on a Ranger is $2,000. That includes an appearance package, upgraded wheels, dual zone climate, Sync 3, SiriusXM.
Create a STX package for the Maverick...

Dealer near work said yes they...
Saw an article about the seat belt this morning.
I was also wondering how on earth did it score so bad since I've seen multiple posts and seen it mentioned in several youtube videos about how annoying it is.
Out of 10 trucks tested only 1 received a good rating, the Tundra. Must be a harsh...
I'm still of the belief that not including cruise on the XL was not to make it as cheap as possible, but simply to drive people to the higher trim and therefore more money for Ford.
Adding cruise to the XL costs the consumer around $100.
Using mass produced parts that are shared across a few...
That's because while other brands are treating certain things as basic standard items, Ford charges you like they are luxury items.
Considering how much it costs the consumer to add cruise control to the XL, it probably would cost Ford pennies, if not less, to make it a standard XL feature...
