If I remember correctly, most laptops require 19VDC and a USB only gives 5VDC. Unless you can step up the voltage, it will not work.
It is much easier to get a cheap inverter to go from DC to AC and then just use the laptop's factory power adapter.
We were on the road yesterday and the display screen just started flickering. Nothing I've ever seen it do. Of course, I only managed to get 3 seconds of video, before it stopped and it did not return. Anyone else have this happen?
When I bought the 2019 Equinox, it had 3,500 miles on it. It had been used as a loaner. The dealer rotated six dealer-ordered vehicles for this purpose. They would then be able to give people a better deal on them.
When the purchase was done, they added that 3,500 miles onto the end of the...
I ended up moving my towards the rear, until it was flush with the installed weatherstripping at the front. It actually works pretty good. It also covers the tailgate enough, that the seal on the underside actually works good also.
I agree that the cover is too short for the application.
Just heard from my dealership and there's nothing showing for my VIN at all. Kinda scary that they can even see how much fuel is in your vehicle whenever they wish! I wonder if they could read the temperature of my behind, while I'm sitting in the seat!
Now that I have my Maverick, I see what the OP is referring to VERY clearly!
Has anyone come up with a way to disable this? It is very distracting and I find myself looking at the screen when it appears. Isn't there a way to report this as being a safety hazard?
I used the CSX rail car tracking and noted each railyard it stopped at. It was at the destination yard(Offloading facility) for a while. I was never able to find out when it was loaded onto a truck. She's home and now has 1,500 miles on her.. Heading north on Thursday to see family.. She'll get...
The way they do VINs, there may not be a "range" Probably safe to assume that ours are affected and that we're going to eventually get recall notices in the mail. Mine has a 10/18-10/20 build date.
My dog is the only one that rides in the back seat and he refuses to wear a seat belt anyway.
Understatement of the year!
The RR I worked for was very much a "Hurry up and get the cars outta here!" Type of operation. It may have had something to do with the fact that we didn't have any extra room for cars to sit around.
The bigger RRs didn't seem to care all that much.
Railroads and car owners don't like bad order cars sitting around. When sitting, the car isn't making them any money.
Could just be that a FRA inspector found something they didn't like and ordered the car fixed. Dealt with that a lot, while I was on the RR.
FRA= Federal Railroad Administration.
Got a bit of additional information about the circumstances surrounding this incident..
He was on his way to work and a snow plow passed him, splashing snow on the tailgate/camera. It wasn't a poor quality camera that caused this.
This is not my Maverick, but the pics were shared with me. He accidentally backed into a short concrete filled post and couldn't see it in the camera, or mirror.
