Until I had a vehicle with a heated steering wheel (2015 BMW X1) I thought it was a frivolous option.
Now, I wouldn't want to buy a new vehicle without it. Same for auto climate control.
I'm amazed at how quickly the steering wheel heats up in my Maverick.
Great review. (y)
I've owned my lariat Maverick for a month, but only have 400 miles on the odometer.
I don't like the stop/start feature, but I agree that is works, for the most part, seamlessly. It works far better that my last vehicle (2015 BMW X1) that had this feature.
I do wish the power...
@Mojorayy, that is the easiest solution, but knowing me I'd forget, half the time, to turn the power on or off.
@SuperTongue, your's is the best long term solution. I'll probably go that route, but I'll wait until someone else installs one in their Maverick first.
I just ordered (Amazon) a OBDII power cable to USB charger cable dash cam hardwire kit. Hopefully, this will solve my problem.
Edit: I just cancelled my order. After some more research I don't think this is the best way to go, so I'll probably hard wire the dash cam in, as I don't see...
I'm not talking about the OBD-II plug. I'm talking about the 'cigarette' power socket, which is near the USB plugs, in the lower center part of the dash.
I installed my dash cam a couple of days ago, using the power socket in the lower, center part of the dash.
Today, I realized that unlike the other two vehicles I've owned, where I installed a dash cam, the Maverick's power socket stays 'hot' when the ignition is off.
That means the dash cam...
On page 287 of the Maverick manual (I own a Maverick eco boost) it states, "You can tow your hybrid Maverick with all four wheels on the ground under the following conditions:
-you switch neutral tow on
-your vehicle is facing forward for towing in a forward direction
-you release the parking...
I have a set of Michelin X-Ice snows coming next week. I originally wanted the cheaper Bridgestone blizzak DM V2 snows, but their speed rating is 'S' and the tires for the Maverick are 'H' rated.
I imagine with the larger diameter tires the speedo will be out. Is there any way to correct it to be in sync with the larger tires and give a true mph reading?
