You are spot on with what i have heard too.
The rear suspension is also completely different than escape. So they didn’t want to put that on the Maverick. If they go based on ford past few releases, the Maverick AWD Hybrid should be a 2023 model. Maybe 2024 depending on how this Chip shortage goes.
Hybrid Maverick vs Santa Cruz 2.5N/A
Note the Maverick is a CVT. The lines are Max and Min. Vs true lines of the Hyundai. Maverick Turbo vs Santa Cruz Turbo. (Maverick with lower rear end in lighter color) Those gear ratios of the Hyundai are a MESS. It’s more like an overly complicated 5 speed.
Yes. The Escape is the 4th generation of its Hybrid system.
1st Escape 2005-2007
2nd Fusion/ Escape 2008-2011
3rd CMax/Fusion/ Escape 2012-2018
4th Escape/Maverick 2020-
the gearing and all of that is the same on escape. But yes the Inverter and Motor are improved over the Escape.
So yes the...
Just Estimated.
but for reference the Ford Escape with virtually the exact same Hybrid system gets 44 City 37 Highway and 41 Combined.
I think k the Maverick hybrid will EASILY do 40+mpg city. 35 highway and 38+ Combined
Hyundai Santa Fe Limited 2.5 AWD 0-60 in 6.2 at 4000lbs.
Santa Cruz with same powertrain and ROUGHLY 150lbs lighter will likely be in the 6.1 range.
Ford Bronco Sport 2.0 AWD 0-60 0-60 in 5.9 at 3700lbs
Maverick 2.0 is JUST heavier than that. I expect right around the 6.0 range. Close but I...
no that’s a 3rd party. Been using them for 18 years or so.

$1200~ for what the Maverick will need. Only takes up 6”x6” or less of the bed.
Very similar to the “hard Roll up” that ford has on the Maverick for $1,160.
Might even be the same company just with...
I think because your in a MAJOR city. I’m here in Toledo Oh.
Out of 8 Metro Area Dealers we only have a total of 170 New Fords. That’s 21 per. Talking to a few of them. Add a 0. They typically have 250-350 each. Especially this time of year with new models coming in.
then I could drive an hour...
I will add more when official models come out.
but the tires are more expensive not more better. Falken Wild Peak are just as good. Yes The Michillen tires have a 1 year 10k mile better warranty. But idk about you but I’ve NEVER used a tire wear warranty. Only the road hazard warranty. So I...
escape trunk is roughly 41” wide (since the wheel wells continue all the way back.) then 49” wide above the wells. So if you want to put 4x8 in there you really can’t.
problem is
Escape 2.5 hybrid SE $30,000
Maverick 2.5 Hybrid XLT $2,000
Escape 2.0 AWD SEL $35,000
Maverick 2.0 AWD XLT LUX. $30,000
So Escape option vs Option is $5,000 MORE than the Maverick.
37ft3 in escape truck.
4.3’ wide 3.1’ long 2.8’ tall
33ft3 in Maverick.
4.4’ wide 4.5’ long 1.7’...
360 camera. Sure.
FOB parking sure.
Ford has standard LED headlights.
Hyundai has standard LED DRL. (I’ll take the headlights over DRL.
LEF taillights sure.
I’ll take the full sized spare over bed truck.
