The new Ford Motor Company/ Volkswagen Group MEB Electric Vehicle Platform is supposed to be out SOON. So a Maverick based off of that would come in 2025/2026. An ST could definitely fill the void till then.
however CURRENTLY the MEB platform only has 302hp and 230lbft total from both motors...
The 2.3 is just a stoker 2.0. Same bore.
the only difference is Connecting rods and Crank shaft. You can get conversion kits for $2,000 and their forged.
get that. E85 fuel injectors. Turn up the boost. You could easily get to 400hp 400lbft
Degeneration on hybrids isn’t as bad as EVs.
but typically if the hybrid power train dies it REALLY dies before that 100k miles.
my brother has a 2007 Prius with 130k miles and still can hit 60mpg+ Regularly. So I’m sure NEW it could hit 65-70. But that’s still amazing! So if the Maverick...
I would not worry at all. Reading other forums of people with Escape and Fusion hybrids. Most have said they hit 200k+ miles with no issues at all.
Battery replacement installed by a dealer will cost ~$2000 but that cost is getting cheaper and more small shops are getting their hands on...

Automobile magazine speculation on the Maverick ST. Basically a Ford Focus RS with a Maverick Body! Exactly what I want. If demand is there and Maverick sales stay strong it’s a very...
looking at the 2.5 n/a Hyundai vs Hybrid Maverick you can see the slightly more torque in lower rev range.
thats Where the Electric motor comes into play.
I can see 6.9 for the NON FX4/Towing package with the taller rear end. But the fx4/towing package has a shorter rear end. That will help 0-60 times. Close to 6s
That’s what I like the most about fords. They pay attention to the customer demands.
they have a whole team of people that go to car shows, swap meets, (check forums 👀) and such, and ask what people want and leak out what they might do. All to improve their vehicles. That’s why In all of the...
We have had, Soft cover, soft tri fold, hard trifold, clam shell, box, and hard roll up. I prefer the Hard roll up.
Second would be the hard tri fold. Because the hard trifold can hold more on the cover and it’s more water proof. And you can remove the whole thing easily. But it takes up more...
I’m still waiting on what trim/ options are grouped together. Hyundai doesn’t like stand alone packages or options. Just trims. So it will be interesting.
Ford never waits until the refresh. However they never give you EVERYTHING year one either. I would guess 23/24 mode year. Refresh in 26 will be the full EV
