So Ford says they will release the blueprints and CAD drawings for the rear center brackets, Know as F.I.T.S. (Ford Intergraded Tether System)So people can make their own attachments with a 3D Printer.
so what are a few things you would all like to see?
- cup holder
- iPad/ tablet holder...
So the Santa Cruz was revealed 11 weeks ago. And started production last week. Yet have STILL not released full trim specs and pricing.
Im beginning to wonder if they saw the pricing layout of the Maverick and are now trying to figure out a plan B. Or C.
The more and more reports I read. The...
two options in my opinion.
1 Bite the bullet and spend the $2,285 for the XLT. Or
2 get the cruise control buttons from the “ford parts counter” like $60. Install it (super easy) Then have the dealership program it. (If they will)
it got the turbo curves from ford and Hyundai spec sheets.
however the Ford hybrid I made.
using the 2.5 from the fusion (might not be EXACTLY the same but close)
Adjusted the whole curve up to match peak numbers of the n/a motor.
then added the values of an electric motor curve (100% torque...
Correct. So you take that curve and add it to the gas motor (2.5L with 155hp) and you get the curve above.
so you can see vs the N/A Hyundai they both have ~200lbft. But the ford has more torque at 1000rpm then slowly falls down to the same as the Hyundai at redline
Would love to have a manual option. But I would just prefer to have a an aggressive paddle shift. And I agree that be the first thing I would swap out is the seats.
I love my merc. For the quad gauge. temp, oil pressure, voltage and fuel. I wish I had a tach tho. But if I get the dash with a tach I only get temp and fuel.
in A perfect world. I would want
Digital speed (just number)
Tach
Fuel level
Fuel pressure
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
Coolant temp
Voltage...
Absolutely. Adaptive Cruise is more likely to apply regen braking early and often to adjust speed vs you using the brake pedal. Will keep the speed more consistent
Agreed! Unless it’s a sport model (ST RS) boost gauges aren’t typically standard or optional.
But I agree on keeping an eye on ALL vitals with gauges vs lights.
I think Ford should offer a boost gauge because more boost = less mpg. Would help fight a lot of the complaints about “real world mpg”...
The “soft folding” is the “British” style. Basically a fancy tarp with straps and buttons. Yes $600 is way to much for that.
spend the extra 500 to get a hard cover.
1 test at 55mph
1 test “up to” 80mph
3 test in stop and go traffic.
and the EPA doesn’t do the tests themselves. The manufacturers do and submit their full report and the EPA audits them.
so sure highway milage isn’t purely 55mph. But the UP TO is a grey area.
In any case in a perfect...
