I agree but “in theory” every dealer SHOULD be around the same percentage. So say dealer A has 10 allocations and 11 orders. Odds are dealer B is around 20 allocations and 22 orders. Again IN THEORY.
If there IS a difference i do not think its that large UNLESS you have some dealers that...
i dont think the allocation process itself is the problem but the supply chain issue is.
I think if there was 0 supply chain issues the last orders would only be a month or 2 apart or so.
But because there supply issues, some people can “cut in line” by ordering a maverick with no issues.
Theres no way of truly knowing with out asking. As well as no way of knowing how many orders they currently have.
thats why you see some people getting told they wont get theirs till 2023 because theyre over their 2022 limit.
i understand why tho, its to not hurt the dealerships bottom line...
each dealer is given a maximum of each vehicle. Based on sales. That INCLUDES reservations and orders because they are still making a profit. So to “fair” to all the dealers.
Its not fair to the consumer but it is what it is.
so say a large dealer is allowed 100 Mavericks a year. If they have...
Use to work at a dealership. When the new vehicles would come in, we would take the plastic off, add on dealer options (mud flaps, floor mats etc) then go take it to the gas station fill it up and drive 20-30 miles.
2 reasons
1 too see if anything is wrong.
2 too burn off all the access oil...
Thank you very much. And just using the rolling 3 month average. I will update monthly. Both current numbers and projected. So this graph could get better or god forbid worse based on production.
But yes I believe they could crank out up to 10,000 or so. I think the capacity is over 200,000+...
So made a few graphs to illustrate when you MIGHT expect YOUR Maverick to be built based on when you ordered.
Using numbers from how many reservations were made and assuming 70% order rate. Comparing that to production numbers which (fingers crossed) have been hovering around 6k units per month...
Ford 2.0 engine Made in Ohio, transmission in Michigan.
Ford 2.5 engine and trans in Mexico.
RND done 100% in America. Vs Hyundai some in Korea some in Usa.
and most of Fords foreign parts are made in Mexico or Canada. Not China, India and Korea like Hyundai.

It’s still an “open” diff system across the board even on the FX4 package.
I would wait to see if they come out with a tremor package, similar to the Bronco Sport Badlands. Using that dual clutch differential. Many people are saying that’s the best AWD system on the market right now.
I hear ya.
But unfortunately in today’s day and age, everything is computer controlled,
Steering, brakes, parking brake, throttle, gears. Nothing is manual anymore
According to the owners manual there are 7 drive modes available for the maverick.
3 are standard, 4 are optional.
standard modes are
Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul
Optional modes are
Eco, Sport, Mud/Ruts, Sand.
I cannot for the life of me find what trim and package gets what. I assume Mud and sand...
that’s why they have “Towing mode”
Select that in the drive modes selector.
especially in hilly areas. The truck will down shift to help get up the hills, and engine brake down hills. And won’t go into OD unless your cruising on a flat road.
EVERY Maverick has
Normal, Slippery, and Towing...
but it’s only “assembled” in America.
the Hyundai N platform only has 2 cars on the top 100 American Made index, Hyundai Santa Fe and Sonata. Everything else is out!
The c2 platform is similar FOR NOW. Until the Maverick and Bronco sport get added with American parts. Yes assembled in Mexico...

They don’t have them on there YET. But soon they will. Simply order parts of the color you want, seat, wheel, dash, doors etc. It’s very easy. Just don’t break the plastic clips.
exactly. If you ordering I suggest ordering from a larger dealer. So long as they are giving you a good deal. TYPICALLY bigger dealers are more likely to give you a big deal. Because they have so many of a similar vehicle. More invintory means less markup. If they are only getting 1 of a vehicle...
Orders don’t include allocation IF you filled out an order form (NOT RESERVATION) those will get delivered first not matter how big the dealer is.
the allocations come next. (Sold off the lot).
So if you ordered a Maverick you will get a delivery date. That’s when you will get it. Now dealers...
