Mine are the same. I'm in KS. It does get hot, but my Maverick only sits outside about 3hrs, 4 days/week. I also have a tonneau -- which hides the waves.
The 2nd gen Sport Tracs were much nicer. I had an '08 V8. It still wasn't as quick as my Maverick, but it sure sounded 10x better with a Magnaflow exhaust.
This looks quite neat. I was considering the Flated topper, but this may work? However, this has been out for 3 years, and there's hardly any reviews out there? That is concerning. There are tons of reviews on the Flated Air-Topper.
There was another post about these. You have to grind them down slightly, but then they work great. I have a set. I can maybe get pics tomorrow.

I have the Trail-Rated Sidekick. I was excited when I first saw and heard this product. I purchased and installed 1 week ago. The product itself is high quality. The install didn't go so well. The provided screws for the rubber isolator immediately stripped going into the thick steel. I...
Sorry for the late reply. I have 6.5" Infinity Kappas in the front doors. I simply removed the factory tweeters. I do have an amp running the front speakers + 10" sub. I prefer the imaging of door speakers vs. dash speakers. I've heard the rear speakers aren't really worth changing. Let us...
You won't have problems with the bars rusting. I give the steel mounting brackets 2 winters before considerable surface rust. I removed mine on my previous Ram, and then treated with rust converter and sprayed with several coats of bedliner. I would spray new brackets with bedliner before...
The large metal plate/bracket (with the "R") is for the Ranger. It's not used for the Maverick. The holes in the other bracket should line up with the 3 holes in your Maverick.
Have you tried removing the plastic uprights on the extender, and squeezing it together? I purchased the OE Ranger...
Stay clear of the Husky rubber mat. It's not near as "sticky" as I wished. I've had the TrailFX and DeeZee in the past, and they were much better. PS> you can find ones on Marketplace for dirt cheap, and then cut to size. I'd prefer the Ford one, but I have DIBL.
Mine has been a lifesaver when I need it. Otherwise, it's stored in my basement. I have an OE Ranger one -- that I picked up on Marketplace for dirt cheap.
I ordered the full-size spare -- knowing it wasn't actually "full-sized". At least it got me a full-sized spare wheel. I then picked up a like-new GY Assurance tire (235/65) on Marketplace for $25. I had DT dismount the small tire, and mount the new 235/65 tire today ($31). It's currently...
New -- you're looking at the $180 Amazon ones, or $370 Ford one. I found a genuine Ford Ranger one on Marketplace for $60. All I had to do was remove the upgright braces, and squeeze it together. It then fit perfectly. I have a post down the page.
