Yeah, but even that seems like quite a bit of money! And that Damned front end.... Haha
Is that Gas Particulate Filter proven to be on the new engines? All I have seen so far is rumors.
The port injection does have my eye! But if that was going to be the case, I think I would just do it myself to this one, because I could probably do it for under $1k.
I would never spend $40k on a Mav, haha, just feels wrong.
Hello again, it's been a while!
I just got my truck back from the dealership, for two big issues I was having.
First, I started to get the dreaded axle shake, and it got pretty bad! So they just replaced both front axles.
Second, and WAY more importantly, the transmission died. Yep, I found...
I'm not sure what 2.3L head you guys are referring to, but the 2020-2022 2.0 and 2.3 share the same part number for Escape, Edge, Explorer, Bronco, Nautilus, Ranger, Maverick, Corsair.... I looked on Ford OEM parts online. I didn't look at the Cam part number though.
Well, I'm guessing we won't have 10 Maverick's racing, lol. I think that was the prerequisite for the $500 payout. I would think I have a pretty solid chance at winning, but you never know!
I really wish they would have promoted this better. I plan to be there.
There are many Ford based groups that should be in attendance. Focus, Bronco, ST(I assume Explorer), and some others I think.
I was about to do that same thing, since I jist got put to my garage, lol. Another thing you can do, is buy a factory flange and take it somewhere to have it water jetted out of steel to make your own flange.
I didn't make my exhaust out of stainless, and for some reason, on the Maverick it rusts WAY quicker than the exact same piping on my Honda Insight! Same kit, same diameter, blah blah blah. But yes, it will rust. Use a quality high temp paint and it should help, but even with that mine has...
Admin, please leave this in the ecoboost engine and exhaust!!!
Anyone thinking of purchasing from Fast Mavericks, needs to understand that there has been no communications from Ivan, and there are a lot of people who have sent money and have heard nothing in return, for months!
Fast Mavericks...
Hey Kyle, I would suggest getting your money back and either buying from another source, or waiting until Fast Mavericks starts communicating with customers again.
I have nothing against Ivan, but last I seen, he was moving to NC to do Fast Mavericks full time. My issue with seeing this simple...
They make the same power, but it's now reported differently, supposedly because of California standards. The 25+ engines will be better as far as performance is concerned, with the added port injection. Longevity shouldn't change.
So I've heard rumblings of a Maverick that did 150mph on the dot in a one mile race. My assumption is with some decent power upgrades, that wouldn't be too far of a stretch... I wish we had long runways around here that would allow such shenanigans! Lol
What are you planning to do for E85? I've...
It's the same trans. They claim it skips 3rd gear, but I'm guessing it skips 2nd, just like ours does most of the time. Many people have already added paddle shifters to the Mav, and have had good success.
I assume it to be the same as the new escape, but even trying to find info on the engine in the escape is hard. I've been looking. They are purposely NOT talking about the engine, which is just annoying, lol.
