I just checked out the motor trend article, and they state that the reason for the drop in HP to 238, is only to satisfy some California garbage, and that the output is actually the same as it has been. So that is good news!
My Mav shifts very well with my tunes (5Star). My buddy was amazed at how hard it shifted under full throttle, compared to his stock Mav. If you are on the verge of ordering a tune, I'd say go for it! not only will it shift better, but it'll feel like a whole new truck!
Minor detail on your page linked above. You put the 2.5L in there as to what this intercooler fits. You should remove that so some rando with a hybrid doesn't buy it on accident, lol.
I normally don't use straight E85 for more than a few fill ups at a time, but because it is so much cheaper, it's almost a wash on the dollar/mile scale, which is what people should look at, haha.
And yeah, I don't think they will have pricing or ordering for Lobo either, I was just taking my...
So the advantage of having both direct and port injection is 2-fold. One, it will keep the valves clean of carbon build up, keeping performance at the levels it should be. Two, each set of injectors supports the whole 238hp the engine offers, and most likely, way more. So, using all the...
So, for the Lobo, I'm going to take a guess at what it will come with.
2.0T with "7" speed
280hp
310tq
Just posting this here to see how close I am, lol.
Also, I watched the TFLTruck video, and it shows the Ecoboost as the redesigned version, so this will be GREAT news, as it should have...
I haven't let Ford do any of the recalls on my truck yet, but when I do, I'll revert back to stock first. I'm almost positive they completely rewrite the factory tune, and in some cases strategy codes change, and your tuner has to give you updated tunes to match as well.
So, I finally got around to screwing with Forscan, and I added the launch control stuff, but it appears that it won't work on our trucks. Were there other parameters that need to be met, or are we just SOL?
Any chance you have looked into this further?
John
Last I knew, they were still vacuum actuated wastegate, but that may have changed with the 2024's. I haven't had a chance to look that for into it. Hopefully they switch to electronic so that becomes a cheap upgrade with headroom for power over even the corsair 2.3L turbo.
Lol, well it will change the sound from a factory downpipe, as the diameter goes from 2.25ID to 3"ID, and the cat should be less restrictive, although the factory one isn't that bad, it's just the necked down piping size that hurts power once you start the modding process....
All that to say...
If you find any aftermarket catted downpipe sound clip, it will be the same for ALL catted downpipes, as the different cats aren't going to change the not of the exhaust much. That will come from the catback depending on resonators/mufflers, and exhaust size.
Well, I did try a 60-0 tonight, after the rain mostly dried up, and with the bronco sport wheels, it stopped in 106.9ft, with the abs coming on around 25mph. Idk if I just modulated the throttle better, or if for some reason these tires just bite better, but they are the exact same tires, so...
I remember specifically thinking it was weird my abs didn't engage earlier in my first test on the factory brakes, but I didn't know if it should or not.
I don't why it didn't come on until the very end on the first run, but I know this time it left plenty of rubber on the ground in my rear...
