Just a passing thought...but how about using the white as a courtesy light (like a puddle light). You could run that line to the interior cab light wiring. Therefore it wouldn't be on when the vehicle is in motion, but would look cool when you unlock the doors.
The dealer disconnected my grill lights when it was in for recall because the tech said it was too much for the circuit. I made sure ALL the lighting was switched to LED and reconnected them and everything seems fine now. Tech said the error only shows on their test equipment. Apparently the...
Hopefully the last update on this recall. After Ford mobile technicians spent well over 5 hours on my trailer wire recall, the dealer said I needed to take it in. It went in Tuesday for another few hours because they said the mobile technicians did not due the repair properly and used incorrect...
Update number 3 on recall fiasco: The dealer spent 2 more hours again this week trying to figure out why my left parking light has no power after they did the recall. Taking it in next week. Tempted just to run a jumper wire across pretty soon.
Although I definitely agree the current Escape design leaves A LOT to be desired (2024 only slightly better), it's actually larger than the Rav4 in passenger volume (104 c.f. vs 98.9). Cargo room practically identical (37.5 vs 37.6). Another idiotic decision was not offering the 2.0 as an...
Trailer wiring recall update:
Thought my Lasfit parking light was out, turns out they messed up the wiring when they did my recall so I don't have power on that side. Took the (mobile) technician 4 hours in the 110 degree parking lot to do the recall, felt bad for the guy. All that work and...
Glad they updated this set. I may switch to them down the road if the overheating/hyperflashing bothers me more. But I'm sure the rest of you that have the originals will attest to the fact that the turn signal lights up an entire 6 lane intersection at night.😁
You'd think they would have an editor check/proofread the facts before posting (actual 4000k towing). Especially when they state the Santa Cruz has a higher towing capacity, then you go back to look and it shows it tows less according to MT. And of course the lazy writing not mentioning that...
From Lasfit in January this year:
" Since these bulbs built-in Intelligent Temperature Control, if you use for a long time (a few vehicles maybe 2-5 minutes, it depends on year/make/model and temperature) may happen hyper flash, please turn off and cool 1-2 minutes, they will work normally again. "
Ford authorized the tech to take power from another source in the gang connection box (under the air filter). So now it's testing good to the rear connection.
Just had my recall done onsite this week, poor tech was in 110 heat only to NOT find the correct wiring also (at least he was in the shade). Took him just under 4 hours because he was on the phone with factory reps trying to figure out how to rewire it, then document for Ford so they can...
Its less than 2 minutes for me now (hot here). Kind of embarrassing when you have someone in the truck asking you wants wrong with your turn signal because they can hear them start to hyperflash. All the rest of Lasfit products I've bought have been great, been using them for years. Lasfit...
