I looked on Amazon and it says only for trucks with LED DRLs, but then it says they are for XL and XLTs. Can't be both. Is it just a typo? I notice in one of the description pictures they refer to them as tail lights too, so maybe a translation issue.....?
Hi all
I really like the look, the question I have is the radiator bracket it's attached to. I was wondering what would happen with a light hit to the front if the radiator would easily be damaged also. Maybe it's not a big deal, just curious.
These lights are as little as $18 on Aliexpress. I didn't read every page here, but please google your state laws on white lights instead of amber. Well.... and federal regulations (Section 108). Both require front side marker to be amber. As one of my law enforcement friends always says...
Just ordered the Conti TrueContact 54's yesterday from Ford (Buy 3 get 1 free deal expires today). Did a ton of research and in almost every review and road test they edge out the Defender 2 just a little. Defender 2 was always on the top of my list.
Just FYI, on most trucks (and some other vehicles) the turn signal and brake share the same bulb. The brake light goes off and starts to blink with the turn signal on. With this new tail light assembly, the difference is that it's a sequential amber instead of a red brake light blinking. If it...
The brake light goes out on the particular side when the turn signal is on, just like OEM. Kinda wish the brake light would stay on, but that's Ford's wiring setup - not the tail light manufacturer. Super easy plug and play installation by the way.
I rolled the dice and have been pretty happy with them for the last couple of months (bought them before Mabett offered them). Not a big fan of the tinted look, but I parked test to a Tesla yesterday and the darker look is almost identical to theirs. For what it's worth, the DOT SAE...
......the Hybrid has an inch less rear leg room than the Ecoboost. Keep in mind that rear leg room in a Maverick is still quite a bit more than a Ranger, Tacoma, or Colorado.
Do a quick search, according to state law...they are illegal in North Carolina and Vermont also. Foreign designers/engineers don't always check the legality of their products in other countries. But it looks like you can just cut the power to the white light and they would be fine.
I've had the taillights installed for a little over a month, no problems yet. And yes, they have resistors mounted to them. Big improvement over stock.
Just upgraded from the old Mabett to the new ones. Much better! The old ones were blinding, and of course they were yellow instead of amber. Plug and play was sooo much easier. I might put the old ones on here if anyone is interested in buying them.
