I'm on the Jeep JL forum and, for the most part, they are constructive and helpful. The psychology/sociology of these different forums might make a good thesis project for some student. lol
When I bought this one, I was cross shopping with Canyons/Colorados....if I had purchased one of those I would not be on those forums, just wouldn't care enough...not sure what that says other than the Maverick is just more interesting for whatever reason.
Feel a little that way in Alabama, had a guy in a late model Landrover follow me to Lowes saying he had a Tremor ordered and that he was on the build list. He wanted one because he thought they were cool, it isn't just people looking for a "cheap" truck. That is part of the reason they are able...
Good write up, my thought processes on which one to get was more juvenile, 25% less horsepower with the Hybrid was a non starter, now if they made a performance hybrid that added to the performance I would probably be willing to take that risk.

These things could have started out 5-6K higher and they would still be selling all they can make. Would it have priced out some buyers? absolutely. Ford under priced them and it has caused them a bit of a headache. Probably a good headache to have.
I was originally wanting the XLT Tremor, thought it would be a wiser choice, but this loaded Lariat Tremor came available at MSRP and I knew it was likely my only shot in the short term to get one. Very pleased with the extras, think I would have been a little disappointed without them.
Thats cool and looks great, I think you were right going with a pro. Jeep is a little more forgiving, more space etc to do the job. May have to look into this. Thanks
Curious on that as well, I wonder what kind of stress(if any) that might add to other components. Be interesting to see. I did a lift on my Jeep myself and that was pretty straight forward, thinking on a Maverick it might be a little harder.
I just feel there is a solid demand for a small truck, hybrid not required. Cost is not the driver for everyone buying these, I just wanted a small truck that fits in my garage, it being smaller is the selling point. The only way I would buy a hybrid is for one that adds to the performance not...
