Has to be some sort of gremlin as these new vehicles have no mechanical link from accelerator to throttle body. I will watch for that issue, could you shut off the ignition or did it end faster than you could turn it off?

I agree with you there; I would have liked a more resilient material on the door panels as mine has many fingernail scratches from reaching for the door release and my watch will scratch it while going for the seatbelt.
