Sorry you have had such a terrible issue with your Maverick but I'm not surprised. We no longer build the quality of vehicles we once did and with labor prices increasing I suspect service will only become worse. Not all Mav's have had problems like you have had and so far after nearly two years...
Isn't that the theft deterrent bracket that you have to remove to remove the tailgate? How did it get bent? I got my tailgate lowering strut and braket from e-bay and it lowers the tailgate softly with no resistance when raising.
Those additional photo's said a lot about why it's totaled. I bought a Ranger ext. cab that had been hit hard in the back and the bed looked fine. It was a beater and one day I had a good load of dirt in the bed, went over RR tracks a bit fast and the back door would not open. Apparently, the...
I have been getting mine washed at a mechanical conveyer wash unlimited flat fee system since new (top Tier Wash) and have had no verifiable damage and my Area 51 paint looks great. I live in the desert southwest and our water is very hard so washing at home does more damage than the R.O...
Thats exactly how I bought mine and then made payments to myself, no good rates were available so it made more sense to buy outright. I bought a 23 Mach E this month and put half down and got a rate of 5.5% from Ford for 60 month but plan to pay it off in 12.
I'm not a fan of the new grill and mine is paid off. I told my dealership I wanted close to what I paid for my Lariat Lux package including the extra charge they hid in the price., they declined.
Check and see if you have the hill holder switch on. If I remember correctly it is right next to the Eco switch in the console. I have accidentally activated mine before and the symptoms you describe sound similar.
Thank
Thanks for the reply, I didn't know that about the wilderness. My Mav is the Hybrid so I get great milage but now I have it paid off I'm going to add a full electric to my corral if the deal don't fall through on a Mach E.
I'm sure you will love your Forester as I loved my 2015 for 8 years and 70K + miles. It hauled all my P.A. equipment to many a show as well as a few long-distance trips. For an all-wheel drive SUV it got about 29-33mpg depending on load and speed and I missed it for months after it was gone. I...
All my dealership would say is to watch the onboard computer and not to change it until within 500 miles. They didn't state anything in regards to it being a special high zinc formula. It is my understanding that few oils now carry zinc as it is highly destructive to catalytic converters so I...
My average has consistently been 35 to 38 MPG, the 35.1 was average on my trip to CA. and for a long spell on Hwy40 I was going 90 in with a group of fast movers. I didn't realize I was going that fast and went back on cruise control. I was impressed though that it did not feel like I was...
Nice job on your personalized graphics and I liked the accompanying story. Being a grandpa myself and having owned three different Courier pickups, I can totally identify with you.
My first set had a problem with moisture in the pass side only and I sent them a message and got another complete set. I also put some clear RTV on the new ones and after correcting a problem with the pass side light staying on after it should have turned off, (was actually a lingering voltage...
Sorry to see that but it actually happens a bunch. I don't know how many back glasses I replaced in our trucks at work from people loading stuff in the bed. My first damage to my Mav happened at about 800 miles when on a trip to CA. from NM. I got caught in a short but intense sandstorm at 65...
I am not a fan of the dial myself, I agree with you on there is no detent or even a click. I know there is an indicator on the dash but my old school mind wants to look down at the shifter. I guess I am just a relic and most of my vehicles are old like I am. LOL. 76 & 73 MGB's 72 El Camino and...
Thanks for sharing, that Matte Purple looks fantastic, but I thought it interesting that the mini light bar took over. I'm guessing the purple was a wrap.
I don't get it as I have had no issues like that whatsoever (Knock on steel) and I do mostly short trips with occasional longer trips. There are some weeks when I drive one of my other vehicles and still no issues. Could it be climate as I live in a high desert? I do have a decent battery tester...
