I added cut in half small clear silicon pads for kitchen doors to the underside of each tray lip, makes it alot easier to pull out the trays, doesn't impact armrest closure
Great idea! I have the same tray set up and it is a struggle to get to the lower compartments. You'll have to post a picture so I can fully appreciate what you did . . . and so I can copy. ;)

Great idea, would you mind sharing your idea with a pic or 2 so I can see exactly what you mean. I may want to do this as well

My bed light LED switch is the one that came with the kit. Its only temp installed I ran its wires out below the access cover and tucked it next to the bedrug. I mean it's ok for now until I found a better looking permanent solution. I was looking at these illuminated ip 65 water resistant pushbutton on/off switches. Over 100 different icons are available along with I think 5 different colors. I can get one with a lightbulb icon or dome light icon on it. They have driving light icons as well for when I add a set of driving lamps later on. The nice part is its backlight when it has power. So no fumbling in the dark looking for a switch. Likely will get a black switch with blue backlighting for the bed lights. Gonna 3D print a smooth flex bed blank to drill out for it

No new online purchases showed up, so I got a wild hair to do these fits dividers. Now the 3D print ones in the first pic are pretty BadAss , however the price was pretty BadAss high as well. I had these divider ends I bought about a year ago, and another set I bought from somebody else. Both are truck club members. Anyhoo, using the drawing from the thingiverse website I made the big dividers first.

I used Luan finish plywood for this. Thin, light, and strong. Plus easy to sand and file. Pic#4, I set the fits ends in place on the truck, set a spacer of thin wood scrap under the divider and set it in place. Using a pen I then traced the holes from the fits ends onto the divider

I used 10-32 Ă— 1" long countersink screws from Lowes, and #8 cup washers. Now this was by design. I wanted the center of the cup washer to wedge into the wood to hold it tight, not the sharp outer edge that will eventually cut. So I made a die out of a thick washer by putting a countersink in its hole, then using the screws and nuts, and tightening them, I pulled the cup washers to reform them. You can see the reformed cup washer next to the original. If I had to do this again, I would switch to 3/4" long screws. These stick out a bit and annoy me, so I may cut the ends down in the future.

first ones are assembled and installed. I must say these look rather good. Im not a woodworker by any stretch. I hate working with it actually. It's an awful building material IMHO, however I'm very pleased with the results. The cup washers wedged in very nicely and i did not have to tighten the heck out of them. So they did as I wanted them to do. Since I had extra hardware I decided to make the smaller dividers for the ends.

I really only need one since I keep my tow hitch stored on the R/H side and it's too long for that divider to fit but i might as well make two while I'm at it. I used the larger ones to template out the shape, then cut them shorter front to back to fit, and cut the top down.

Anyhoo, I have a friend with a plasma cutter and I was thinking I may get ahold of him and see if we could scan these and cut them out of 1/8" aluminum plate. Maybe cut a honeycomb pattern into them. It's just a thought. It may or may not happen. Frankie might do this for me. He loves doing oddball stuff like this.

For now the one extra wood divider I am planning on taking up to work and fiberglassing it, and putting it in a vacuum bag to bond the fiberglass to it. Then sand it and paint it just to see how it would look.

Easy project to do. I recommend a jigsaw and a drill for this one. If you take your time, the measurements from thingiverse are really good.

I am also thinking other ideas with these dividers I made. I have access to a dark grey textured cockpit vinyl that I can cover these with. That may be fast n easy to cover the wood

The Ebay Ford logo lighted cup coasters came in today. These are cool. They came with one charging cord, but a had a spare USB type. I plugged em in for about 45 mins. Theres a green charging light. It goes out when full. Very slight vibration turns them on and darkness keeps them lit up. Once they sense no vibration, they turn off. Theres A multitude of colors you can click thru. I decided on the one in the pix. $15 and free shipping.

I finally found a pair on eBay, but I like yours much better. On mine the logo doesn't show up very well when lit. Can you provide a link, please?

I am also working on a way to put lighting for the under seat storage. I have seen others put lights in the compartment itself, but when you have a lot of stuff, and dividers in there it can block some of the light. So far I am working the idea in my head, but I am thinking a decent gage steel bracket with a light on it attached to the underside of the seat itself with a tilt switch so when the seat is lifted up, the light comes on pointed towards the storage area. Trying to decide on either white or red light. Not to be fancy, but red so it doesnt kill my night vision.

Your approach sounds like how I would probably tackle this. Good twist on using the red light, unless you expect to be able to identify different items in there by color... ;-)

Found one on Amazon. High bright LED for a side by side off roader. It has 2 switches. One for white light, one for red light. It's on order. Once its here I can fab a mount bracket. I made a template, but will probably change that idea a little once the light shows up. With a small LED flash light positioned, you can see how much light it throws into the storage area from that one point. I figure I would mount a tilt switch in with the bracket, so I only have to run a 1 wire feed.

Thanks for the link. Would probably cost more to ship them to you than you just getting another pair. Last time I checked, USPS lowest rate is $15, so I'll most likely just return them.
I just shipped a tiny light box to ohio today for $5. A small padded mailer would be about that. Let me know.
