I’d bet if I got the stage two I’d either kill myself or blow the tranny.

Wait wait that didn’t come out right,
‘Destroy the Transmission

:’P
When self preservation kicks in, im putting my money on the blowing of the tranny...

It’s the dual injectors on the 25 plus, gives a lot more capacity than the older gdi only ones. Same story on the mustang and ranger

The new generation 2.0 Ecoboost has 8 injectors. 4 of them are the standard GDI (direct) injectors that previous models had, but now there are an additional 4 port injectors in the upper intake manifold that directly shoot fuel into the valves. Ford does this to keep them clean. In stock operation they're only used in certain situations, but a tuner can essentially hijack them to make up for the extra fuel demands of E50.

Two questions please.
Was your test vehicle equipped with the GPF? I am not familiar with the HP RDP and app, are you able to switch between multiple maps on the fly?

Our Maverick was not equipped with a GPF

The maps are loaded through the bluetooth phone app, so as long as you have them on there, you can switch maps easily. It will just require you to stop. So technically not "on the fly"

So, when I ordered this last night, it had a spot for notes for “existing modifications”. Currently I have a 3” thermal R&D exhaust and also bought a CVF intercooler and K&N drop in filter. I opted for the 93 tune. Do you expect to see any additional gains with an exhaust? I didn’t see that you had an exhaust on your test vehicle. Also, it says it comes with I think 4 HP credits. Does that mean I’ll have the 93 tune, plus I can use the “free” credits towards an additional tune? I wouldn’t mind having an e50 tune on tap, but I’m definitely not going to be running that blend all the time.

You may see a little additional gain from the exhaust, but it’ll be minimal at best. The downpipe is where we typically see more of the gains on the exhaust side.

As for the credits, those are basically what allow us to access and tune the ECU. HP Tuners requires a certain number of credits depending on the vehicle, and the Maverick requires 4. The 4 included with the device will cover what we need to get into your ECU and tune it. Once it’s licensed, we don’t need additional credits to make revisions or add additional maps.

If you’d like to have an E50 tune on tap as well, we can absolutely do that. You’d just need to add our E50 Upgrade Tune, which is $150.

Okay, I see. And I can pay for an add the additional tune at a later date?

The dyno charts you show for the Maverick have old dates on them, so they are for the previous 2.0 EcoBoost engine. Do you have dyno graphs for the new 2.0 such as the one in my Bronco sport and the new Mavericks?

Ohhh good catch. I saw those dates last night as well and totally didn’t think anything of it.
