My 2024 Mav. Lariat Hybrid is plagued by the battery saver mode issue. I'm wondering if there is a way to use Forscan to adjust what gets disabled when it goes into this mode. The two things I want to stay working the most are 1) passenger door proximity unlock, and 2) Interior courtesy lighting. Both of these, in my opinion, are safety concerns and I don't think there is much battery to be saved by having them inactive.

I've asked the dealer and they played dumb as if they have never seen the issue. It actually does not bother me that much that I can't do remote start or whatever else is impacted. I have never had it not start. Note, my problem may be worsened by the fact that I rarely drive more than 5 miles and try to maximize electric driving. However, I almost never run the AC and have driven a trip of 50 miles and still gotten the message within 5 minutes of parking.

Your dealer flat out lying through their teeth. The battery issue is widely known. They know about it but don't want to do anything about it until Ford pays for it.

I tend to be difficult. Having said that....screenshot any notice of deep sleep or battery mode notification. Present these to your dealer and ask for repair to be under warranty. Note refusal and notify your BBB, notify Ford, call your Mom too.
In general...be a pain in their butt. Maybe inquire at another dealership.
The previous commentator was correct, this issue is well known, well documented, and well responded to on these threads.
Have fun and carry a flashlight.

Never heard/read of that feature. Time to read the manual.
Maybe it is called something else (keyless entry), but when not in battery save mode, I can unlock the doors by placing my hand behind the handle of either front door. When in battery saver mode, only the driver's side will work.

I would imagine there is a way to see in a log somewhere how often it happens. dozens of times per week for me. I can't seem to find a history in the app, though. I feel confident they have a record.

Not as often here, but also can’t find a log. Started not reading the message so it sits. But read, here, to take a screenshot to preserve. Will start doing that.

Correct. Also, you cannot locate your vehicle with the apps, if necessary, when the vehicle is in that mode. Those of us with 2023 and 2024 model years shouldn't have to be dealing with this issue, since it has been since well known since the 2022 model year. Ford had better keep their committment to having this flub up permanently FIXED in Quarter One of 2025, as they state will be the case. The sad thing is that issues like this should have been thoroughly beta tested PRIOR to sending vehicles out to purchasers. We shouldn't have to be the beta testers for poor quality control testing or engineering design defects.

FWIW, the electric AC compressor runs off the high voltage battery not the 12 volt battery.

Not something you want to hear, but you probably need to use a battery tender if you're doing a lot of short trips under 5 miles.
A lot of my trips are around 5 mi. and I use a battery tender periodically. I have never had a battery issue on my '23 Hybrid.

I would buy something else before going to that. It would be a nice alternative if it were a plug-in hybrid that would charge both batteries.

Sounds like it might be the battery. I had the exact same problem. The dealership ran several tests and couldn't find anything causing it. They tested the battery a few times and eventually it showed bad.

What brand, model tender do you use?

I bought the cheapest NOCO, a Genius 1 on Amazon. Now about $28. It does the job.
Thanks for the info. I’ve been looking at the NOCO Genius 2. Thanks for the prop for the less expensive option.

I have a NOCO Genius2. It will do maintenance charge and desulfation of flooded lead acid batteries. However, it is slow. If you want something faster get a higher amperage NOCO, like a 5.

I used my NOCO on my previous vehicle, a Subaru. It worked well to maintain the battery on that vehicle. I also use it on my riding mower. Maintaining a lead acid battery will often make it last many years longer than it's rated. I also used a battery maintainer on my old F-150. I usually got from 5 to 8 years battery lifetime on that truck.
