My Wireless Charging Solution for Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT

Hello,

I managed to figure out a cost-saving method to install my own wireless charging pad for my Maverick. After searching the forum and YouTube, I came up with a hassle-free version of this idea.

This is what I bought:

Wireless Carplay

Wireless MagSafe Charger

I cut a hole in the tray and ran the long wire of the charger to the USB-C plug in the backseat, running the wire underneath the plastic. This required me just to take the bolt off (8 mm) to access under the tray. Now I can wirelessly access CarPlay and charge my device without plugging into a cord. Hope this is helpful.

Yes, it's an Otterbox Defender Case for iPhone with an Otterbox MagSafe charger. The cord is really long, so it made it possible to run to the back USB-C plug. It does not light up.

Where is this USB-C plug in the back seat? I have a 22 XLT and only have one of those on the dash. (Wife's Mav has the 400W power and hers has a plug back there.) Does it stick out in back?

Similar setup here. I purchased this USB C charger. It is flat and thin and works well. I just added double sided tape to the back of it and stuck it to the rubber matt. Charges fine through my thin case on my Z Fold.

Note to anyone looking for this in their older Mavs. These were either part of the Lux package or factory option. They will not be on all Mavericks.
