I would like to know more about this accident. It does look like it got rear ended and that cause it to hit something or they hit something first and the person behind them then hit them. I am guessing first one.
That is one reason I like modern tech in car. Sure more stuff to fail but it could save your life or alot of money.
The car behind them probably did not have any of the modern safety feature.
