According to the wiki matchbox says azure gray
IMG_5984.jpg
They're wrong. Azure Grey wasn't available until 2024. This pic is awfully grainy to get a true judgement on the color. The pics from the Matchbox Convention in July were better quality and it definitely had a lighter shade of blue, much like Area 51.

I still have yet to track down the Hot Wheels Maverick. Not buying one at an inflated price on eBay.
I found one of the Hot Wheels ones at Dollar Tree

I want to paint it black to look like my Tremor. Maybe someone on Etsy can make me tiny little decals. 😬

My post was a joke. Was yours? I love my Mav, but an engineering marvel it is not.

I found one at Dollar Tree ($1.25) and another at WalMart ($1.18). Problem is you have to dig through a lot of inventory. I wonder what people think about a 68 year old man digging through the Hot Wheels looking for a toy truck.

Just wanted to show the official photo of the upcoming Matchbox Moving Parts '23 Ford Maverick in its authentic packaging. It will feature an opening hood and tailgate. It should arrive late this year/early next year and will be available at Target and Walmart stores. Anyone who wants a clean, stock example of their beloved Maverick will surely want to get their hands on this one! I know I will!

P.S., sorry the photo is a bit grainy :cautious:

Very nice but if the horn doesn't double honk every other time I open the door, I don't want the damn thing. :ROFLMAO:
I want to do Forscan specifically just to remove that. It's so f*n annoying!

I argue that people, such as yourself, are what would bring the website down. A funny and clean joke is made and you get bent out of shape. Please.

Also, you call the Maverick an "Engineering-Marvel" and I find that strange. It's an econo-truck and nothing more. The Maverick is occupying a segment that was massive at one point 30-40 years ago. The only "marvel" is that it took so many years for a manufacturer to address the market, again. There is absolutely nothing exceptional or marveling about the Maverick, which is kind of the point of the truck.

Some people really need to bring the Maverick down off Mt. Olympus.

Your horn honking when you open the door isn't normal. You both should have that looked at.

I bought 2 this week at a local grocery store, $1.25 each.

HRG
That's a great price. I would have guessed 10 bucks at least given the way everything is so expensive these days.

The marvel for me personally is the fact that in 2005 my Ranger FX/4 was MSRP $27,500. Fast forward to 2023 and my 23 Maverick FX/4 was $30,600. That is only an increase of $3,100 in 18 years. Now grant you, I got $6,000 off MSRP on the Ranger and $0,000 off MSRP on the Maverick. :ROFLMAO: Factoring in inflation and technological advances the Maverick was so much the better deal. Yes, lowest cost new truck sold in North America. #1 reason I bought one. I have never been a big money spender on bad investments like motor vehicles. Never got that wrapped up in them to make the financial sacrifice.

Dealer has looked into the double honk issue, could no replicate the issue and that was the end of it for that day.

No Mt. Olympus for me, sir. I live north of the woodchucks, it's Mt. Washington for me.:crackup:
