We should all enjoy these times. Sooner or later vehicles will return to dropping $10k in value the minute you drive it off the lot.
I agree. Which is why our 2025 will likely be like our other purchases that we hang onto for at least ten or more years.

A setup for my second paragraph, to show how happy we are with the Mav family. So happy we are buying a new one. Don't see the issue; did you just want to see someone complain? Not my style.
No, quite the opposite, I like that your positive about Mav but you're title implied the post was going to be a complaint. You said it yourself "a setup". It put a bad vibe on an otherwise good post.

I might have been curious to ask more about you're new order or once received how the new hybrid compares to the old. But that died the second I read the post and realized it was designed to elicit a reaction vs share info ☹.

Don't be angry at the messenger, just sharing detailed info on my reaction to your style of post. Admittedly, just burnt out on that kind of thing in every headline today.

My local dealership keeps emailing & mailing me "certified offers" for my fully-loaded '23 Lariat for $29k (mine was $40,035 with every bell and whistle possible) and tell me how "desperate" they are to sell my used car. I told my sales agent "you know I'm ordering a '25 from you, can you take me off the spam list?" He said the offer will likely increase a thousand or two when I actually bring it in, but considering the current offer is just barely less than what I owe on it, I'll count that as a win.

XLT would have been at least $23K new. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/maverick-price-progression.55587/#post-945433
Still a good deal.
Basic well cared for trucks hold their resale. Back in '96 I when I bought my last new Ranger, a good condition 2-3 year old used was not substantially cheaper than new for the basic trim level.
Agree, sold my 16 Tundra for $32,000. Only 60,000 miles and loaded with extras. My previous neighbor bought it since he knew how anal I was about carrying for our vehicles. Practically paid for my new 24 Lariat. Don't tow campers anymore, and I can pass the gas station without filling a 38 gallon tank.

We contacted Carvana this week and sold our 2022 Maverick hybrid to them. Settled on $24K. We had a good three years (almost) with it and put 23K miles on it, so we were happy with the deal (it was just the stock hybrid model with the XLT package; nothing elaborate that would raise the initial cost a lot over the original $19,999 list price). It went very smoothly with everything on line, we dropped it off, they put an OBD reader on it for a bit and found no issues, and gave us our check. So our Maverick days are over.

But wait, there's more. We have a new 2025 Maverick hybrid on order. Since we didn't absolutely need the 2022 for the next few months, and I was worried about being t-boned and getting nowhere near $24K from the insurance company, we thought it would be better to be safe than sorry. So I'll continue to lurk on here until our new ride comes in, and hope for the best for everyone no matter what year or ride you have in the Mav family.
pretty darn savvy!

I hope I get 24-25k for mine on trade in when my 25 comes in. I have low miles (currently 5600).
I may do the same. I'm in nearly the same position as yu. Same XLT, 9,000 miles.
I ordered an XL Hybrid AWD this time cos I wanted the steel wheels and found I'm not using the features the XLT upgrade offers. At all.
NY destroys aluminum wheels.

This isn’t an airport. No need to announce your departure.

I did similar. I paid 31,800 for my XLT Tremor and sold it for 34,300 after I had put almost 13k miles on it.

I bought a Honda Civic EX and after I got 100% refund on my Grainger extended warranty I walked away with my Civic and $8,600.

My plan wasn't necessarily to come back to the Maverick but the 2025 AWD Hybrid 4K tow is too much to pass up. Glad I've been saving for the last 7 months and mine wont arrive until February or later.

Must be nice to buy 3 times, because my transaction cost is very high. Between dealer fees, sales tax, tags, local registration and personal property tax we're talking at least $3k, probably closer to $4,000 per purchase.

I enjoyed your sarcastic title. Maybe put a "wink" in there for the trolls.

I may do similar from a 2023 to a 2026 awd. I'd rather not, but the awd could save an accident. It sure would be nice to sell it before buying the next, but I might not have that option. Still undecided, may just keep this one.
