I have an XLT that I picked up the other day and on the 2nd button lock push it sends the horn sounding. Is there any way to program the fob to not make this honk on the 2nd lock?

Honk if*Does it honking you press it once?
I'm not sure why you would press it twice unless you want the horn to honk as you are walking away from the vehicle, but here is what your owners manual says -I have an XLT that I picked up the other day and on the 2nd button lock push it sends the horn sounding. I was told that, pressing it twice activates the alarm. If that's not the case then I'm just an idiot...lol. nothing happens when I press it once, horn wise that is. You hear it lock when it's pressed once. I guess ill have to find a way to test to see if the alarm goes off after one lock press.I'm not sure why you would press it twice unless you want the horn to honk as you are walking away from the vehicle, but here is what your owners manual says -

Also, my fob didn't have a security label on them. When the dealer delivered it to me it was just two key fobs with nothing attached.I was told that, pressing it twice activates the alarm. No honk if only pressed once. But it does lock. I was told that pressing it 2 times activates the alarm when you press it the second time.. maybe I was punked...lol.Honk if*
Thank you!!! Thread solved. The systems arms with just a single lock.

The double horn on two lock presses is intentional to be used to locate your vehicle (instead of using the panic)

I usually push mine twice so I can verify that the fob signal goes through. Also when having forgotten where I parked I may push it several times to hear where it is. Also rarely use panic button but it makes more noise and flashes lights.I'm not sure why you would press it twice unless you want the horn to honk as you are walking away from the vehicle, but here is what your owners manual says -
