I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area and I had trouble finding a shop that would install them for “liability issues” at large repair shops. Finally found a small shop that charged $828 using MY springs which I thought was out of line but had no choice. You’ll need an alignment afterwards as well.

it may also pose an issue getting CV joints replaced under warranty when they inevitably need replacing because you changed the suspension geometry. Guess it depends on how the stealership feels that day.

But I really like the look lowered.

p.s. I did not need tp purchase the cam bolts. When I asked Eibach they agreed.

Depends on your local labor rate. My local shop charged 4 hours x $125 per hour plus $99 for 4 wheel alignment, ie $600 total.

One shop in Ohio quoted me $700.

Another friend-of-a-friend place quoted $400 so I went with them. Halfway through they called saying there an error with the quote, and it should be $700. We settled on $600.

DIY-few hours and nothing complicated-got an alignment immediately(Firestone lifetime $200)no need for camber bolts-camber was not out but think tow was just a bit.No shops around here would touch it

It is a DIY that’s not that bad with the right tools. Anyone in the northeast tri state area I’ll do the swap for you for $150
Alignments you are on your own.

Hi. I'm not planning on lowering my truck, but for curiosity,
Is as simple as swapping you car shocks or is more complex ? I mean besides a jack+spring compressors+basic tools and alignment, is there anything else need it ?

Thanks in advance.

That’s about it honestly. If I remember correctly the rears are literally one bolt and it took me about 10 mins to do them. Front take longer because of the compression but still not bad at all. Much easier than lowering a 99 Dakota RT I’ll say that lol

PNW. Cost was 932 including alignment. It took quite a few calls to find a shop willing to install them.

Thanks for clarification, I saw that shops were charging that much that had me wondering if there was something special.

To whoever is handy but have no tools pepboys and advanced auto parts can lend you the tools, you pay for the tool and once you finished with your project bring it back and you'll get your deposit back. Please be sure you get the right tools, I once messed up and got lucky at the end, but was scarry as hell. please research a bit before processing, specially when you're dealing with compressing the springs.
