tow assist / backup assist on Lariat orders - ?

Just ordered a 25 Lariat hybrid with the 4K towing. There's no discount shown on my order sheet from the dealer regarding missing the tow-assist / backup assist feature, so I -ass u me 'd that it will be included. Now I have my doubts.

Around 21:30 on the linked video below there's a bit about ordering a "Job-1" or "Job-2" build, and how job-1 builds will not include this feature.

I've contacted the dealer and told them the order I placed yesterday needs to include this (yes I know how to back onto a trailer hitch, but I want this feature anyway). No word yet on if my order will have it, if my order will be delayed, or if it needs to be cancelled.. but heads' up everyone. Seems like Ford doesn't quite know what it's doing regarding this feature on the 25 MAVs

that seems to be the case - but my order didn't show any discount for missing them... Either way I'm not in a hurry, I just want to make sure my truck has it when it arrives.

If you've just gotta have the feature, Sounds like you may need to check in with Tim on how dealers can keep your order from being built until job 2 then, maybe there's some kind of code to put on order?

If you want them, cancel your order and reorder in November when Job 2 ordering starts. There's a $300 increase for these, so no discount for Job 1.

It has been reported that the Trailer Tow assist feature will cost $300 when it is available. Orders will probably start sometime in November for Job 2.

... um, not from my perspective they don't. Even FORD doesn't seem to know anything concrete.

Care to share the official FORD memo with us?

Dealer A: "It's included in your build"
Dealer B: "There's a $300 discount on your order"
Ford Marketing: ( I was on the phone for 30 minutes with them) _ They don't know. Nothing on their system shows it is included at all. nd they have NO idea if / when / how to specify pro-assist features. They said when I get a VIN the build sheet -should- show if pro-assist is included.

I'm going to keep the order in the system. If in a month or so I see they're building my truck without it I'll cancel the order and wait until I can get one built with these features.

Note that the Ford Media site for the 2025 Mav shows the features and just says "Available early 2025".

Nowhere in the current Order Guide, or the current Build & Price does it indicate available tow assist/backup assist, so why would you ASSUME those features are included at this time?

There was no expected $300 discount for them being excluded. Per the vid from Long McArthur - which stated that orders that did not have the options would see a $300 discount.

At this point I maintain that there's a lot of conflicting information (including my dealer who said specifically it IS included) - and nothing concrete from Ford that I can find.

I'll let @fordvideoguy clarify his comments, but the bottom line is current Job 1 orders will be $300 cheaper than Job 2 (which will include those features if ordered). Ford does mid-year price increases all the time, so by the time Job 2 rolls around, the base prices could also increase. If you need those options, great. If not, waiting may cost you more than $300.

This new vid from Tim Bartz says it's going to be STANDARD on Lariats, even without the 4K tow package, but orders existing need to be cancelled, then wait until job-2 orders are open THEN place the order (order in Nov? Build in Jan-Feb?).

Going to cancel yesterday's Lariat order now and will revisit when job-2 ordering is open. (info starts at ~ 4:00 mark).



P.S. Dealer said they'll keep the order in the system and see what comes in. If it has it (it won't) great, if not they'll sell it to someone else.

I'll revisit and place another order (25 Lariat, Hybrid, Desert Sand, 4K tow, security keypads) as soon as the job-2 banks open. I don't NEED these features, but the pro-hitch will make it a lot easier to hook up to a trailer if I'm solo.
