I'm considering upgrading to a 25 lariat which has adaptive cruise control and other goodies. However it doesn't have blue cruise. The price is very close to the new Chevy traverse equipped with super cruise. I hope to buy a place that's 4 hours away on the highway - perfect for assisted driving. I've used super cruise on my EV a lot and it's fabulous. I'd like to keep the functionality and mileage of the truck though. I'm wondering if 360 2.0 will be "close enough" to stick with the maverick. Does anyone have experience with the current system on the Maverick or is it being updated for 25?

The Ford version of what you're talking about is called Blue Cruise. It is not available on (relatively) cheaper vehicles like the Maverick

Not familiar with blue or super cruise. But I just finished a 180 mile, each way, trip that was about 50/50 freeway & 2lane coast hwy.

I used the ACC much of the time, but also mostly switched off lane centering. Too jerky & don’t love having to keep a firm grip on the wheel.

But the cruise control is fabulous. Comes nicely to a full stop & restart as long as you aren’t at a stop longer than a minute or so. Then you just need to hit resume & ACC goes from zero to cruise or set following distance.

on ACC you have a little guy in the dash telling you to put your hands back on the wheel. Blue Cruise self driving.

They are not even remotely the same. CP360 is stone ages compared to a system where you can take your hands off the wheel with the manufacturer's blessing (eyes on the road).

GM's SuperCruise and UltraCruise are widely acclaimed as the best system out there. Mercedes actually has an approved SAE level 3 self-driving system. Ford BlueCruise is OK and getting better.

I'm not gonna comment on Tesla because it's just too polarizing.

In my experience, the 360 2.0 is quite capable. I use it almost all the time and it does an exceptional job of keeping the truck centered in the lane. This works all the way down to 0 miles per hour. The only thing you have is a nag to keep your hands on the wheel about every 10 seconds. I have found that resting my hands at the bottom of the wheel and giving it a tiny nudge works fine. If you wanted to have a bluecruise type experience, I would highly recommend the Comma AI openpilot. I had that in my 2020 Civic and it was great for long highway trips. It will basically take your 360 2.0 and turn it into hands free similar to bluecruise.

A 1 lb weight hung from the bottom of the steering wheel will give your CoPilot 360 Assist/2 a blue cruise tye experience. Just relaying information from a friend...
all fun and games until your Maverick swerves into an improperly marked exit ramp or turn lane.

Oh absolutely! There is a section of a road here in Arizona that I travel frequently where I turn the ACC completely off as it steers wrong and accelerates poorly (curvey loop de loops in the road). I consider it dangerous to have the tech engaged at that point and it's both hands on the wheel.

My statement was tongue in cheek.... There was a popular DirtBike YouTube reviewer who purchased a Maverick Lariat EB AWD 4K BAP HPR exactly like what I had on order (and now own!)... so, I was super excited to see his review. He did a 3 month review of ownership and in the video he comments that 'a friend' hangs a 1 lb weight from the steering wheel to silence the 20 second 'hands on the wheel' nanny...

So my 'information from a friend' was a play on that... Guess I thought a lot of folks would have seen that review and got the little jab (it's actually a very good review! - ).

Interesting as the ACC/Lane Centering on my 2022 is smooth as silk. It's probably my favorite feature of the truck. Not sure why you would have to keep a firm grip on the wheel either.

Now, Lane Assist is a different story.

Are we referring to the same function? My owners manual calls it lane centering. No mention of a feature called lane assist.

On my 24 it’s constantly correcting. When on a freeway, it occasionally tries to follow an exit. There have been a few times when a widened spot on the road it has steered too right.

As for hands on the wheel, without a grip, it will alarm with a warning sound and flash screen.

Glad your experience is so great. Just not mine.

Sorry, Lane keeping system, I thought it was called Lane keeping assist. Different than Lane centering, which is only on the Lariat.

But no, it sounds like your lane centering isn't working properly if it's constantly correcting. Mine stays centered effortlessly.

If it doesn't sense a hand on the wheel, it goes by weight, then you will get a warning after 15 seconds to keep your hands on the wheel. After another 15 seconds if you don't do anything, it will disable the lane centering.
Only takes a slide amount of pressure, IE your hand holding the bottom of the wheel.
