You have to hit the mode button 5 times to get into sport mode. Wish there was just a sport button.
And before someone says “that would cost more money”, duh. I’d pay the extra $8.

Or a toggle instead to go left or right in options.

Does it not stay in the last mode that was selected? Are you saying it defaults back to normal mode with every shutdown-restart cycle?

Unlikely it stays in the same mode as it could effect mpg. I believe EPA requires the vehicle to be in the epa rated mode every time the vehicle is turned on.

Edit: it looks like it’s not required to revert back to normal mode, but if it didn’t the epa would average the highest and lowest mpg drive modes. I doubt ford wants to deal with the extra testing and possibly slightly lower ratings.

Probably not. It defaults back to normal mode in my Mustang. But sport mode is the 1st option in the menu. Seems strange that it must be the 4th option in the Maverick.

Are these modes you guys are talking about on the base hybrid? I basically never go over 65 and would want the best MPG.

Nope. Every time it defaults to normal. The screen is pretty slow too in comparison to the timing of the button press

My only complaint would be I have to open the door to get inside the truck. Why isn't there an option for automatic door?
You should start your own thread about it. Sounds super interesting 🤨

Thanks. Looks like @Tyler has the reason in post #5 above.

Another thing when selecting a mode.
the first time you hit the button, it doesn’t change to the next mode. It just shows you the mode you’re in. A little annoying
