Lasfit breaks with tail light recall update (RRN: 23C41)

Hey MTC,

I have a 22' Lariat EB 4k with Lasfit LEDs on most lights of the Truck. I went in for a recall/software update to prevent a potential engine shutoff. There was another software recall on the tail lights, "Rear Turn Signal Outage Notification" Recall Reference Number (RRN): 23C41 that I also had them do while I was there.

This update is not compatible with Lasfit LEDs, including the new T3 series.

For me, 1 of 2 the tail lights on each side stop working and both sides started hyper flashing (fast blinkers). I reached out to Lasfit and there currently isn't a plug-n-play fix for this issue. You have to disable the "Rear Stop Outage Indicator" update, or put in some inline components to the blinker wire (resistor I believe).

So if you have Lasfit blinkers or tail lights, do not get this update/recall from Ford

Ford advises that you shouldn’t missed any of the recalls, because they’re all centered around safety concerns. I have T3’s in my 22 and for the most part they work just fine . Right now on the right side the top bulb doesn’t show a brake light, the other 3 shine brightly.
