Can we trust them? 3 new colors.

I was all set to get a Hot Pepper Red MY25 Maverick, and I just saw that the HPR has been discontinued. (heavy sigh).

After being duped 3 years ago by being told school bus yellow is Cyber Orange (and the picture LOOKED orange!), I'm wondering: will Eruption Green and Ruby Red really be the colors they look to be online? I like both based on these pictures, but I'm not sure I can trust Ford when neither Cyber Orange nor Hot Pepper Red were in person what they appeared to be online when I placed my order back in '21.

What do y'all think? Will Ford's photographer or website guys get the coloring right this time?

i was duped also. Ordered a 23 Lariat in Area 51 in Sept 2022. By the time the truck was built Ford discontinued the color and converted to a 24. I dont trust them.

I've got the Ruby Red metallic on my Ford Fusion and is absolutely gorgeous. If this would have been available for my 2024 Maverick that is definitely what I would have ordered!

space white is white, like cactus grey is grey. My CG can look grey, green or blue.

What's Oxford White then? REALLY white? Super white? Brighter white? It looks brighter in the pictures.

I'm with you on this. I just spec built the 25 to see if I like the Velocity Blue b/c when I googled it, it looks like a much lighter blue than the Atlas Blue that I currently have. The pic on the build site definitely looks like the Atlas Blue still...

Yes Oxford white is a pure bright white. Space White is an off white with some gray hue mixed in. Space White looks white until parked next to an Oxford white.

Try looking at some F-150s in space white, that was very helpful for me. I think it will look sharp on the Maverick and mesh well with the navy interior.

Velocity Blue is a lighter and brighter blue than Atlas Blue. The 2022 and 2023 Mavericks had VB so you can google those and see what it looks like on a Maverick already. I personally liked the Atlas Blue better but a lot preferred VB.

Neither are brand new colors. Just Google Image search "eruption green" and/or "ruby red ford" and look at the thousands of photos (not on a Maverick, but on other Ford vehicles) both professional and amateur. You will find examples in all lighting conditions, etc....

Searching Google and seeing them on my monitor could be just as bad as looking at pictures of them on Ford's website.

But your point is still valid. If neither are new colors, I could go to a Ford dealer and see the colors on an actual vehicle.

That's what I suspected. I've got 2 coworkers who have white vehicles. One looks like Oxford White & the other Space White. The "Space White" one always looks dirty, because they park right next to each other.

That's much more an emerald blue-green. Eruption Green is yellow-green, potentially towards yellow in the specular highlights.

I think theres a thread on here, that shows 3 different whites on F150s. You can really see the difference. The space one looked almost blue at angles.

Can you trust your monitor?

Unless you have made adjustments to increase the accuracy of colors on your monitor or screen, the inaccuracy may very well be due to the monitor and not Ford. If nothing else, go to a dealer and ask to see their brochures for the color. Compare that to your monitor or screen and see how much difference there is. There is a reason they are called blue screens…

I think the Ruby Red is better than hot pepper red
The desert sand looks better than terrain
The edition of eruption Green is nice.
I think it's the best color options year so far

I've had two Fords in Ruby Red in the past. My favorite Ford color. Most of my Fords have been that type of red. Wished it was available for the Mav when I got it. Never liked the Hot Pepper Red.
