The dealer just called and said they completed the recall work it was brought in for but found bad axles. They replaced those and then found that the transmission was also bad due to a bad bearing that is not dealer-replaceable. This requires ordering a transmission and a full engine out replacement of the tranny which will take 4-8 weeks if all goes well. I am out of a car for that time I guess, so that is awesome... Luckily this is under a 3/36k warranty and I have the 7/100k warranty as well but what good is that if it's in the shop every other month for another safety recall?

So... pretty standard quick lube/recall experience for a Maverick owner then. 🤣

j/k. Sorry that happened to you. Look forward to hearing everything is g2g when you get it back, hopefully.

Well, that’s good to hear someone’s getting the problem solved because I have the same issues with my maverick 2022 all-wheel-drive 38,000 bad axle bearings bad CB axles

Hmmm! I have 30k on my 2022 hybrid lariat with 7/100 ext warranty plus the 8/100 hvb component plus the short block freebie! But on my 2022 XLT lux hybrid with 2.3k miles I only have ,3/36 plus the 8/100 hvb component plus the short block freebie. Do I buy the extended warranty or order the 2025 lariat hybrid?

Hi there, Tom. This axle concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Maverick . Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".

You are out your truck but they are giving you a rental, right?

Dealer changed my CV axle at 48k miles on the passenger side. I still have the same wobble while accelerating, and at 45-50 mph. They act like it's the first maverick that's having this problem. I will not ever recommend buying a FORD product.

Do we know which transmission bearing failed? e.g. Did vibration or stress from a failed CV Axle CAUSE the transmission bearing failure?
As this happened at a bad time, timing wise, I am still gathering logical questions before I talk to the dealer again, my initial responses didn't pass my public comment tests... I will add this logical thought to the list.

At this time no. I am gathering questions and possible responses before I talk to them again, work still goes on though and this is going to be a problem.

If the CV axle was bad, it very would could've caused vibration into the bearing in the transmission. One problem creates more problems around it.

Dealer balance all tires. Still has wobble. Now they are saying it has a bad engine mount passenger side.
It's on order guess we'll wait and see.
