That looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I got mine through Ford Accessories, self installed, but it was shiny.
looks good-love the matte finish-what's the part #? cost?
Mines an XLI have the same hood protector, the same truck (Tremor) and the same colour. I don't know about you, but it's an absolute babe magnet in the 60+ female segment.
Indeed held up well!Nice! It looks a lot better than my poorly manufactured AVS Bugflector II (AVS is owned by RealTruck.com). Like so many other Mav owners experienced, mine didn’t fit on the hood due to multiple issues. So, I “installed” it on the rear (before a trip to our local landfill). Shoulda went with a factory option.
Look at that shine!

Yes, it’s the brand/model with those (and multiple) issues. Mounting holes don’t align (some have drilled out), mounting tabs don't touch the hood so the fasteners won’t reach, the ends of the shield whack the fronts of the fenders and damage them, (some have cut away part of the shield to clear the fenders), etc… For a new product, I refused to have to fix multiple issues with plus spend more money to buy longer fasteners. I asked Realtruck to exchange it, and they instead just refunded my money. When I pointed this out to Realtruck, as documented in a chat session with them, they just told me “oops,” and said I can just order another one. Nope. So I junked it.Indeed held up well!
Is that the one that needed some grinding before the hood is closed 1st time?
But it does bolt underneath not glued?

I got a rock chip and then windshield cracked in my first month!!Shame they discontinued this one. I got a rock crack 12 days after buying my Maverick driving on the highway. Found this at the dealer while they were checking the Windshield, which had to be replaced.
Haven't had a rock and rarely any bugs on the windshield since, due to the wind deflection. I should have bought a spare because they had several at the time, but that was in 2022.

This is also why I had the dealer do the install. It's a double sided tape. But they did a great job on getting it flush.Yes, it’s the brand/model with those (and multiple) issues. The biggest issues for me were that the mounting tabs wouldn’t sit flush, resulting in the shield not sitting properly on the hood, and the fact the shield was going to damage the fenders.
