Ford does A/C well. Even out of just the front vents, the entire truck cools down fairly quickly in the Alabama summers.
This☝

As small as the cab is and as much cold air as the electric A/C puts out, I see no reason the existing panel vents would not be sufficient. I've ridden in the back seat and the A/C blowing mostly from the two center panel vents to the back seat will run you out of there.

To reduce the radiant heat gain in a vehicle parked in direct sun, you cannot beat I/R blocking Ceramic window film. Even the lightest tint available will block over 70% of radiant heat from the sun. Makes seats, etc. much cooler, compared to no Ceramic window film.
Leaving windows down lets hot air escape, but those seats will still absorb tons or radiant heat.

Active X pleather the only reason I did not buy a Lariat.
Yesterday it was 115°-117° here in the desert southwest.
I am over being burned, sweating with real or fake leather. I do not spent that kind of money on a vehicle and hate the place where I sit. Tacky seat covers are an unacceptable solution on a new vehicle to me.
If ford offered pleather delete. I would have bought a Lariat.
The #1 reason I didn't get the Lariat was the lack of cloth seating as an option.

Bob,
The vents under the drivers and passenger seat are ABSOLUTELY connected to the HVAC system and
direct AV and heated air under the seats to the rear of the cabin.
When the floor setting is selected as pictured below

I have a hybrid XLT. That is all I can speak to.
I do not know about XL or Lariat.
That is how it works on mine. I just checked and verified tonight. It is not a huge volume. It would have a tough time blowing out a candle,
but it does work.
Take care
GB
Thank you for the clear response

You should have bought an XL. :)

I had to stick my arm up to the elbow under the driver's seat to reach the vent from the rear, but the fan definitely pumps air through it. However, to quote Glen B.: " It would have a tough time blowing out a candle."

Advice to parents: When I had small children we always traveled with drinking water. You can spill some on a washcloth so Junior can keep cool until the A/C does its thing.

You may want to have your system checked out. Here is a video I just made this morning, of it working. A picture of the settings. I couldn't put it on high fan because it kept blowing out the matches before I got them underneath the seat. As it is I had to use two matches to keep them lit.
Driver door was closed no wind. I even took a picture of a match next to my tire to show that there was no wind.

I'll reshoot a video with just the lower vents on I'll bet it still works.
I know positively it will not work if just the upper vents are on.
Because it's designed to work with the heating system. It wouldn't make sense to just have it work with the upper vents in that the lower ones.
Unless you select upper vents when you're using heat. Bulk of the airflow is to the floor and under the seat.

I'm just curious if anyone has extended the venting system to the back of the cab or to under the front seats for seat coolers.
Quite honestly, I must inform you that my 2022 Mav already has venting to the rear cockpit. It is under the front seats.

I thought those vents (under seats) were just heat ...
You mean to tell me AC vents through there as well?
Well I'll be ......

@crashdumie
I have not even thought about doing any kind of ducting for the rear because the Mav's AC is
the best I have had so far. Are you just not satisfied with your or do you have special needs to
get the rear of the cab cooler faster? (im thinking like keeping pets or even perishables back there).
Agreed.

I like that. :cwl:
Reality was, I had to turn the blower speed down in order to keep TWO matches lit to show that air flow was actually blowing out of those vents.
I have found that, Pictures and Video sure do help back up statements.
Stay safe,

GB
I'll check in an hour (unless I have to take more pictures or shoot video) see if the Maverick is still there.
It's 10:00 a.m. and the Maverick is still there.
