I have the 2024 XLT 2.0 Front wheel drive. I'm 6' 2.5" tall. When sitting in the drivers seat, the left side of my left knee constantly rested against the door. After a few minutes it became uncomfortable. I found some foam pads 4"x4" x 3/4" thick with adhesive backing on Amazon. I cut 1 pad in half and attached it to the area on the door where my knee rested. It may not look good but it worked like a champ. No more discomfort.

Edit - Photo added.

I purchashed the 2 pack 4"x4" x 3/4" pads. Under $8 to my front door.

I am 5' 8" and my knee does the same thing. My wife has packets of different sizes of felt slider pads for chair feet that have sticky backs. I used a 3 inch round one and stuck it to where my knee hits. Works great. I also liked your solution. Oh and we also use them for door knob wall protectors as well.

imagine if you will, a returning GI from the Greatest Generation, telling his buddies about how his knee kept touching the door of his 1944 Ford pickup and he found comfort from a piece of applied felt.

My knee is killing from commuting 4 hours away for 40 years. Every car I owned was like this except for 2, a F150 I had a short time and a MR2. Surprisingly my MR2, 2 seat sports car does not have this issue. Nice fix.

At 5'6" with relatively short legs, this really isn't one of my life problems. I also don't very often get hit in the head by tree branches on my morning walks.

Haha. I am 4' 11" and really don't have that problem. I will say, when I manage to actually hit my head on something I about knock myself out!

We did put lifters in the back seat bolts so I could more comfortably reach the pedals and see over the dash at the same time! 😜

I'm 6' and also have an issue with that area of the door I use some pieces of anti fatigue mat that I cut into 3x6 and keep several in the truck as I usually forget its there when getting out and it falls on the ground... Have looked at and considered just carefully cutting that useless curved portion off of the door panel off...

Yeah, I'm only 5'8" and have the seat up as high as it will go to level it and avoid the progressively bigger dip in angle where the seat and backrest meet when it's cranked any lower

Had that problem right away . cut piece of foam from tent pad or yoga mat and covered with old sports sock (clean) . attachment with lobster claw rubber band . problem solved . multiple ways to solve this issue .

I purchased a couple of gel pads off Amazon. Came with stick on Velcro. I love them. Gives my boney knee a soft place to rest.

I think a Sawzall would fix that problem. When in doubt, pull out the Sawzall.
